Bodega Kieninger

If there is one bodega you need to visit in Ronda, it’s this one! We liked the tour that went jn depth about the effort the winery does to be organic. The wine was particularly good. Our guide, Sonja, was fantastic. Prices were reasonable too. Would recommend!

Our trip to the Bodega Kieninger was organised by Montse @ Signature Tours Marbella. On arrival at the vineyard we were met by Sonia, and the beautiful dogs and cat. Sonias knowledge of the vineyard is extensive and her passion shines through. After the tour we sat down in the sun with lovely tapas and tasted 4 wines before purchasing some of the ones tasted.
I would 100% recommend a trip here if you are interested in not just the tasting but the whole process of the end product. Thank you Sonia we had a great time.

Don’t even think twice before booking a wine tour with Bodega Kieninger!!!! My sister & I had an absolutely incredible time touring the vineyard, tasting fabulous wines and tapas, petting their adorable dogs & cat, meeting new people, and learning from Sonja. This has easily been the highlight of our trip & I wish I could spend an afternoon here every day!!!

We had a wonderful wine tour here. We loved learning about organic wine production. We had tapas and tasted ( and bought) the wonderful wines of this winery. Sonia, our tour guide, was super knowledgeable and fun!

Great experience! Our host Sonia was gracious and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed all the organic wines as well as the tapas served. Best Olives and tortilla! The property is lovely with trees of all varieties complimenting the vineyard. Dogs and cat were also a highlight!

We had a truly wonderful 2 hours wine tour and tasting. Would strongly advise a visit. Sonia was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all the aspects of her work making it a wonder experience

Kind staff that will share with your the history of the property and vines while walking you through the end to end wine production facility. The wines are very, very clean and not too fruit forward. We enjoyed a 2 hour tour with a tasting and tapas in the wine cellar. Highly recommend!!

Stunning small winery, well presented by Sonja. They have about 7 grapes in small batches. The tasting is accompanied by a tour across the place. I liked the whites more than the reds but wine is a matter of personal taste. So, have your own tasting and enjoy the tapas, the view and everything you like.

Our group of 6 had a lovely visit to Bodega Kieninger. We didn't have a reservation, but they were very accommodating (I recommend making a reservation, as they had to turn away other visitors who came after us). Our hostess Sonja was so knowledgeable about the working of the vineyard and gave us an excellent tour. The wine tasting was the highlight. Lovely wines! Highly recommended!

Excellent experience. We celebrated my sister’s birthday and enjoyed both the tour around the wineyard as well as the tasting and discussion with Sonya.

The best winery visit/tour we’ve ever done - so much detail! Despite being in the midst of harvest and working overnight, Araceli welcomed us like family. We had a private, personalized tour of the grounds, productions and cellar. We throughly enjoyed sitting and tasting wine/local food while chatting with Araceli. She was fantastic at making the tour accessible for our toddler who absolutely loved playing with the dogs.

Beautiful small winery, the wines are delicious and made naturally without pesticides. The owners have a very friendly dog and a cat that were following us throughout the tour. Sonia was very accommodating and helped us schedule a tour last minute, and was a great hostess during the tour. Don’t hesitate to visit, you can taste the amount of care that goes into the wine making here.

Amazing small eco-oriented winery where the healthy tending of the soil comes first and delicious wines follow. Our host Balthazar was fantastic and someone we felt we knew personally by the end of our time together -- not like some where you're moved through in a very formulaic way. We walked the vineyard, learned about the history of the land and farming philosophy, and tasted the wines together, along with some cheese and meat. It was very intimate, definitely the best kind of wine tasting experience. Highly recommended.

The tour and the tasting were extremely enjoyable and educational! It was great to hear that there are wineries which care about clean organic wines.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! We visited Bodega Kieninger this past weekend and wow, I cannot recommend this place enough. Unfortunately, we were unable to do a full tour and wine tasting because our trip to Ronda was so last minute; however, I emailed and asked if we could stop by to purchase some wine.
When we arrived at the bodega we were greeted by Araceli. Although she was finishing up another tour group and tasting, she set us up at a small table outside with a beautiful view and allowed us to sample almost all of the wines (as they were already open from the current tasting) and even searched for some other bottles for us to try!
Araceli went out of her way to accommodate us, she was extremely friendly and professional. She took the time to tell us about the wines and treated us so well, even without a booked tour!
The wines were amazing! We ended up purchasing 4 cases by the time we had left. If you have a chance to visit Bodega Kieninger, you should definitely do so!

Our host Sonia was delightful, knowledgeable and gracious. Winery is lovely, tasting paired with delicious food. We enjoyed the wine and purchased some to take. The dogs were awesome.

Bodega Kieninger is an absolute must!! Sonia is very knowledgeable on the history of the winery and types of wines and was a great guide. We were able to book easily last minute after having this place recommended from a friend and had a private tour for our group of 4. You get to see various vineyards as well as the barrel and bottling process. Small tapas are provided outside overlooking the vineyards and nearby town….you can’t go wrong coming here!!

Great Experience - we took a private tour for 4 with Sonia. She was excellent, very personable and knowledgeable on the production process, This vineyard has an interesting history and takes care in the production process which shows because the wines are very good, The tasting was interactive, the setting was perfect and the cheese and meats were delicious. Our group purchased some wine to ship home and we enjoyed a few bottles that evening as the wines were on the menu at a few restaurants and bars in Ronda. If you are going to tour a winery in Ronda I highly recommend Bodega Kieninger be the one.
