Hotel La Fuente de la Higuera

A really beautiful stay in the hills just outside of Ronda. The team are amazing everyone took genuine interest and care of us and our needs during our stay. Our main items when travelling fulfilled. 1. The bed was oversized and extremely comfortable. 2. The shower was really good and hot. And the bath deep. 3. Everything was spotless, the team do an amazing job on daily service.
Our room boasted an amazing view to the mountains over the very 'spanish gardens' and villa. Our sun deck scented in fresh lavender. The pool area is furnished with lovely sun beds, rose gardens, and rural views. It's also very close to all the sights or main town an easy drive. we explored various parts of the region everyday from hikes to pueblos. To us was so beautiful and such a great recharge for 5 nights as a base. We would stay again and recommend to others. Thank you for hosting us.

As we were driving, I looked for a place outside of Ronda to stay and were very pleased with this property. The staff were friendly and our room was quiet, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast each morning was very good as well as dinner which we enjoyed on the second night. They were very helpful in arranging for a taxi on the first night to take us back into Ronda for a guitar performance and dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed Antonio, their regular taxi driver!

On check out I asked if they had something I could use to clean my windshield but one of the staff offered to do it for me which was excellent service.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting Ronda.

This is a wonderful retreat in the hills of Ronda. The hotel is beautiful, set in quiet gardens with flowers, lemon and orange trees. The suites are very comfortable, spacious, clean and fresh. The pool was a nice touch with quiet solitude after a day of biking.

The food is excellent. I can't say enough about the meals here, every dish was presented nicely and was delicious. The chefs here are excellent, and the wait staff are very attentive and friendly with a great knowledge of the dishes, sources of the food and an excellent knowledge of the many fine wines they serve.

Same day laundry was available.

Every detail of our 4 night stay was perfect.

We loved our stay at Hotel La Fuente de la Higuera - which was unfortunately way too brief. We’d planned it as a stop off point on our road trip as it was close to Ronda. But we arrived to such a lovely welcome from Christina, and to such beautiful surroundings and relaxing rooms - we decided to stay at the hotel for the afternoon. The rooms were fabulous, large, light and airy with super comfortable beds. We had wine on the terrace before dinner, followed by tasty, well-cooked food including a special meal for my fussy 9 year old. Topped off with a much needed, uninterrupted sleep. We couldn’t have been happier and will definitely be back.

Heaven on earth! Gorgeous setting, delicious food and a beautiful room. Thanks to Laura at reception, who was especially welcoming and helpful. We were unable to visit Ronda (the purpose of our visit) because of a marathon biking/running event that lasted all weekend, but we saw Grazalema and other beautiful areas nearby and had a great time! I hope to return and visit Ronda.

Our experience was of all the professionalism of a good hotel blended with a homely atmosphere of the owner's welcome and capable friendly staff, some of whom performed multiple roles as porter, waiter, gardener or as chef.
The atmosphere was of a farmhouse overlooking a valley of small rural properties.
Breakfast is simple continental style with excellent evening meals offering choices for each of three courses.

My husband and I stayed here in 2014 for a special occasion. We still remember every aspect of our stay with fondness. In fact, the more we travel the globe, the more we realize what a very unique and special stay we had. The genuine friendly hospitality of the owners, the well appointed rooms and delicious meals are all memorable ten years later

Beautiful setting, superb service, delicious dinners. We were upgraded to a bigger room which we are very thankful for. Although it was raining whole time staying at Hotel La Fuente de la Higuera kept our spirits up. thank you

Luckily we had a car so we were finally able to find this beautiful place. Hosts were incredible- food very good. Room was lovely and perfect. It’s a bit of away on the hillside- but great if you drive. Without a car- I don’t think it’ll work for you!

Wonderful experience. Lovely room and grounds. Excellent meals. Very helpful staff and management. Great all around. They even arranged a last minute e-bike rental for us.

Beautiful location and room. The food was delicious and all the staff were very friendly. We loved being close to Ronda but away from crowds.

This beautiful country inn is perfect. Each room is different, we were in #5, with a large terrace looking over the pool and gardens to a stunning view, and with a wood burning fireplace. Delicious meals on the terrace, a knowledgeable wine waiter, Ismail, and a short drive to explore Ronda and the other white-painted towns set in the hills. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or just to recharge. Beautiful touches of easy elegance, silver candlesticks, napkin rings and teapots. We can’t wait to return!

A beautiful house surrounded by olive trees that was converted into a boutique hotel with eleven rooms. The rooms, verandas, garden and pool are all charming and the customer service was superb.

What a great hotel! I’m so glad I booked this gem for a few days break between Christmas and New Year. We stayed in room 11 which was perfect for 2 friends. Plenty of room and the living room with open fire was perfect for the colder evenings.

We made a 4-night stop at the hotel during our honeymoon and the hotel exceeded all expectations. It is a relaxing oasis with fantastic views, food, wine, and service, and it is was the perfect home base for exploring the region. Hope to return some day!

Our family vacation started here with 4 nights of absolute luxury. The rooms and service are exceptional. The setting is gorgeous even on a rainy morning. The entire staff was so accommodating to us including our 1 year old granddaughter. The evening meals were always a delight.

An amazing few days in this little gem of a place nestling in the hills above Ronda. A beautifuly converted olive press turned into a hotel 25 years ago. Service is amazing and attentive, the staff are excellent at what they do. The food is incredible and the rooms are to die for.

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff was so kind and helpful to us both during and before our stay. They even helped arrange transportation for us from Córdoba to Ronda and from Ronda to our next stop, Sevilla. Our room was so beautiful and the mountain and valley views were unbelievable. We had our own private patio, coffee/tea in room, slippers and robes and a working fireplace. The breakfast served each morning offered eggs, coffee, assorted cheeses, freshly baked breads and jams, fruit, yogurt and cereal. We highly recommend staying here and also joining them for dinner during your stay - the food was delicious!

Wonderful stay in the Rhonda countryside. Spacious rooms and beautiful pool area. Friendly staff and fully stocked honesty bar for whatever you’re in the mood for. The dinners are delicious and made from scratch with local ingredients. The place is about a 10-15 min drive to Rhonda and just as convenient to nearby wineries. A truly wonderful place!
