Caviar de Riofrio

Carmen who attended us to do the caviar tasting and fish farm visit was EXCELLENT. She is an expert, and explains all aspects of Caviar production in details. She spoke very good English, too. We enjoyed tasting 3 different types of Caviar with a glass of nice Champagne.

This is without doubt, one of the most fascinating visits I have ever done; seeing sturgeon up close, being able to touch them, and knowing that this is a species that was living over 200 million years ago, when dinosaurs were at the height of their existence. Marine biologist, and son of the founder of Caviar Rio Frio, Alberto, takes us on a factual yet entertaining history of sturgeon in Spain and Europe, how they found some examples of this critically endangered species, and have brought them back from extinction in their once native to the waters of Andalusia. Caviar Rio Frio was the first producer in the world to be organically certified and by prior appointment, for a fee, you can treat yourself to an incredible tasting of different styles of caviar, Organic, Russian or Iranian styles. Organic is their most prestigious caviar, produced in much the same way as it would have been enjoyed at the time of the Tsars of Russia, before the revolution, and the need to add preservatives in order to ship to exiled Russian aristocrats. Rio Frio also produces other fun products that you will find nowhere else and make unique foodie gifts for friends and family back home. If you are in the region and want a memorable few hours, look no further. Rio Frio is about 40mins drive from Granada, an hour from Malaga, an hour and a half from Cordoba. There are a number of great B&B's and hotels near by including one 5star luxury resort just 15 mins from Rio Frio.

22 de agosto de 2023, visita en familia a Caviar de Ríofrío. Ha sido totalmente espectacular. María ha sido nuestra guía y nuestra puntuación es máxima. La experiencia ha sido una pasada desde el primer minuto. Las explicaciones han sido muy amenas y la ruta por todo el recorrido, genial. El broche de oro ha sido la exquisita cata de caviar con champagne o vodka. Vamos a recomendar esta experiencia a nuestros familiares y amigos y seguro que repetimos en el futuro. Muy recomendable!! Enhorabuena a María por hacemos sentir como en casa.

Excelente visita , me ha gustado muchísimo , me apetecía conocer la vida del esturión y el proceso de elaboración y gracias a Laura que nos ha hecho la visita muy agradable lo hemos podido disfrutar con la vista y el paladar , riquísimo caviar ecológico

Realizamos una visita con una de sus guías a través de todas sus instalaciones. Toda la infraestructura que tienen montada es increíble, con un gran mimo al medioambiente y haciendo su caviar el primero del mundo con certificado ecológico. La cata tras la visita estuvo genial y aprendimos mucho sobre los distintos tipos de caviar así como su manera de comerlo, acompañado de distintas bebidas

Íbamos de vuelta a Murcia e hicimos parada . Yo había visto un reportaje sobre este caviar . Visitamos la tienda para comprar algo para nochebuena . La atención en la tienda muy buena y muy buenas recomendaciones a la hora de buscar el regalo perfecto . Queda pendiente la visita a la piscifactoria.

El mejor caviar del mundo, para darse un capricho de vez en cuando

Muy recomendable. La guía, Carmen, con su amabilidad y cercanía nos lo explicó todo sobre el mundo del esturión y por supuesto, el proceso del caviar (ahora entiendo su precio). La cata fue muy interesante sabiendo apreciar cada sabor y textura. Una joya en nuestro país.

Uno de los únicos lugares donde comprar caviar en su mismo lugar de producción y al parecer único productor mundial de caviar ecológico. Trabajan varias gamas de caviar como el excelente ecológico, o el estilo ruso, con sus distintos grados de maduración. Venta directa. Posibilidad de cata y visita a la instalación previa reserva.
