We've been coming to Asturias for four years now. You can find some of the best restaurants in Spain here, but this one was a big and pleasant surprise. The food was amazing, I had one of the best seafood tapa in my life and the best Rabo de Toro in Spain. The staff is super friendly and professional, the restaurant has a nice and rustic design. I hope they get noticed by Repsol and Michelin guides.

One of the top two culinary experiences in town.

Traditional dishes in Asturias are awesome but if you have been there for a while and want to try something different, this is your place.

Here tradition meets innovation and the result is splendid.

Make sure you reserve some space in your belly for the desserts.

The food here was great - some brilliant examples of Asturian specials. But the service was truly exceptional. Ángel was warm, friendly and informative. He warned us that he spoke only "a little English" and then proceeded to vividly describe each dish in better detail than most English waiters! He and his staff were attentive, but not overly so. To cap off a memorable experience, he gave us a gift of a bottle of cider to leave with. He really made our day!

To top it off, the restaurant is beautifully appointed and situated perfectly on the river's edge. We'd really recommend popping by if you're staying nearby. You won't regret it!

HIGH-QUALITY ASTURIAN FOOD. El Molín de la Pedrera offers a more upscale experience than the zillions of sidrerías in Cangas. The menu is focused on traditional Asturian cuisine but adds some novel elements. Our dinner was outstanding. I highly recommend the crujiente de Cabrales, panaché de setas and rabo de toro. The wine selection is great as well. And the Charlota cake for dessert is amazing. Expect to pay around €30—35 per person.

Extremely nice place: service, environment, food and prices. Very recommended the Cabrales with nuts and mussels w/ black garlic. Angel and the female server very professional. I will get back!

I’m often cautious of any #1 restaurants on trip advisor (tourist traps galore!) but this deserves its position on top of the leaderboard. The food was some of the best I’ve had in northern Spain which is impressive in itself (stiff competition!). I had the mussels with black garlic, fabada soup, the oxtail and goats cheese with blueberry dessert (note the last two weren’t on the permanent menu but not sure how frequently the specials change). It’s great as a lot of the courses they can do half portions if you’re keen to try a few things. The bread must be home made and is served warm (crispy on outside and soft on inside). Wine and Pedro Ximénez I had were all delightful as well. Staff are really friendly. There is an English menu if you need it too. Price was great for everything I got. Would happily return! To note I arrived about 3.45pm and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table which was fine as there is a bar area you can sit at but makes me think if you want to dine at a peak time, I’d definitely see if you can book!

My partner and I had an incredible lunch here, one of our favorites for our entire trip of Spain. We had the beans, ribs, anchovie tapas all of which were amazing. We got chatting with of the owners who spoke English and he was incredibly helpful and kind. Would highly recommend this place and will return!

We were here two years ago.I have thought to write a review for a long time.. Our trip Spain included visits to Barcelona, Asturia and Basque Country. We ate great food during the whole trip. However this this restaurant has stayed in our memories the most. Fantastic flavors from local ingredients. Black pudding that made me thrown back in time, to the best variant from our country Sweden. The best cheesecake we've ever eaten, we still use it as a reference. The owner was super nice. We hope to return someday.

Excellent restaurant with delicious food and wine. Oxtail was incredible. Ran into the owner again while canoeing and he helped translate our English with our canoe shop so we could coordinate our pickup. What a great guy!

We loved it!!
The food was more then excellent! It's not cheap, but definitely worth all the money you pay for it! The owner was opening a window at our side and asked us if we were portuguese..we said yes..what did he do? Went in to put portuguese music just for us...and then came by and started talking to us..about portuguese singers...so so nice the gesture and the given attention! I definitely recommend it! Best steak in Astúrias and cod fish!!

Very good restaurant, the dishes are well served and the staff is all very nice. The restaurant has several options, specially meat, and the list of wines although is a little bit short has many regions of Spain represented.
Maybe the salads are a little bit overpriced.
For 20-30€ per person, is definitely an excellent option in Cangas de Onis.

The family owners (brothers & sister) made us feel very welcome explaining the menu even when it was busy. We loved the food and the restaurant.

Really delicious food, so good we went twice. A nice mix between traditional with quality ingredients and trying new things. Definitely recommended but make a reservation on weekends and holidays.
