As a returning customer after 12 years I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is well maintained, spacious and great for a holiday with kids. It’s a place for a quiet and serene time, orderly and pleasant. The room was spacious and always clean. Plenty of pool space but warm water at the kids’ slide area would be marvellous. Food overall was excellent and diverse, especially dinners. Staff is plentiful and helpful and all request were serviced quickly. Some minor issues here and there but nothing that affected overall enjoyment of the stay. 30 minutes from the South airport and easy logistics. Always recommend renting a car for some extra sightseeing on the island.

Nice resort for holiday with children.
Big rooms
Nice areas for children (including waterslides) to play.

We didn't like that they don't give toiletries "to save on plastic", we had to ask reception but they sent us the wrong things.

The food is not bad, but not luxurious. There is good variety, it's very nicely decorated and on the eye it looks great, but the quality of the ingredients is average and not of a luxurious hotel.

Not sure why the water on the non-salted pool was so cold, it felt like the water was cooled (it was colder than air temperature). Strange, and sad, almost nobody could use it because the water was unbearably cold (it was Dec).

In terms of luxury it's not a top luxury hotel like some others in the area, but it's better than a 4 start hotels.

We stayed at Roca Nivaria for 2 nights and we were so happy with our decision. We had reserved the RIU first but after reading some bad reviews we decided to change and upgrade to this hotel.

Upon checking in, the staff was friendly and informative. There is free parking so we were able to park with direct access to the hotel. The bellman who took our bags gave a quick little tour and explained where everything was located on the way to our room.

The room itself is spacious with a nice walk in closet and terrace. The bathrooms have a separate bath and shower which was perfect for our 1 year old.

We booked half board which includes breakfast and dinner, as we are vegan and we did not know if there would be a lot of variety, giving ourselves lunch to eat outside the resort. Well, we were pleasantly surprised as there were high quality and a large quantity of vegan offerings, they have corners where they indicate vegan and vegetarian food. They served elaborated dishes and even had dessert! If you are vegan and looking for a hotel where you can actually enjoy the food and not just “live off” of vegetables and bread, you will love this resort. The restaurant manager Miguel Ángel was super friendly, gave us a tour of the buffet showing us where all the food was we could eat and even told us we can order things specifically like tofu, seitan and one night we even got a vegan pizza with vegan cheese! Lastly, the 2 vegan desserts were not just fruit, one night they had chocolate mousse and cake and the other was a sort of carrot layered cake.

The breakfast was about the same as other hotels with things like beans, tomato, mushroom, toast, churros and fruit that we would eat. It was nice they had different plant milks, not just soy.

They also have 2 a la carte restaurants that you need to reserve in advance and you can pre order a vegan menu which again is very elaborate with things like risotto, seared tofu and more.

Our only constructive comments where we think could improve would be having the pools/beach access open early than 10am as our baby wakes up very early, so having to wait 3/4 hours to use the pools is a bit long.

There is music at night, but it wasn’t loud enough to bother us or our baby. If you are a light sleeper and need to sleep early for your baby or kids, maybe it would be better to ask for a room away from the piano bar area.

Lastly, the furniture is a bit dated, but it is super clean and really well taken care of, so it didn’t really matter.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and plan to come back next year.

The outdoors, the pools, the size of the rooms, the incredible staff, the food, extras for kids where great! The hotel is a bit older in styling etc, but it doesnt matter because the upkeep/maintenance is excellent and it is very clean. Loved the greenery surrounding the pools.

Great luxury hotel, lovely clean rooms, daily housekeeping and well kept general areas. Excellent staff and services. Food is exceptional with plenty of choice. In house gift and clothes shops.
Great choice of pools and Spa as well as a private route to the beach.
Nightly entertainment too.
Lovely conversation with Sarah, the director who is regularly keeping an eye on things.
Definitely the place to come and feel spoiled whilst chilling out.

By far the best hotel/resort we have ever been to. The location, the hotel, the environment, the personnel, the food and drinks, the facilities, the entertainment, everything was just absolutely perfect!

I highly recommend the Roca Nivaria.

The hotel was amazing, the staff were very friendly. The pools and the room were fantastic and clean, we had a beautiful view to the ocean. We also enjoyed activities such as aquagym with the girls and the spa was amazing. The food was delicious, there was lots of choice in the buffee and the a la carte restaurants were great too. The only negative was the weak wifi, and the quality of the evening entertainment. The hotel could also have changing room and shower facilities near the pools for guests that are checked out. Very happy overall, would definitely recommend. 😊

The best hotel we've been to! With the best service! The hotel manager Mrs. Sara is a wonderful woman 🙂 we made a mistake while making our reservation and Mrs Sara helped us and found a solution. She saved our holidays!!! Children were very happy. Till today they sleep with the mascot from the hotel. Delicious, diverse food! Beautiful view! Several different pools for adults and great slides. I can't find any downside to this hotel! We will surely go back there again 😍

We had amazing time in hotel. Mr Jesus Miguel is outstanding person. (Room 544 if he’s reading it.) The most decent and helpful person i ever meet. We will come back for next holidays just because of Mr Miguel.

Great hotel with a large pool area, good food and service. Definitely not the cheapest option and it is located without too much to find outside (although a small supermarket and some restaurants/bars are available). Ideal for a vacation with kids, but also without if you are mainly looking for relaxation.

Perfect place for a family holiday. The hotel is perfectly set up for kids of all ages, from the room being inherently toddler-proof to the plastic crockery provided at mealtime, everything just felt so easy. The pools are both gorgeous, food was good quality and ample choice and it was so handy to be able to directly rent a car for a day. Staff are absolutely lovely, made us feel like it was delightful that our 16 month old was chucking food everywhere and running around, rather than annoying! The boardwalk is lovely to walk along but there’s not much else in the area, so expect to spend most of your time in the hotel. We loved our balcony with views over the ocean, and you can hear the sea from almost all of the hotel. We’ll definitely go back!

We keep coming back each year because we love this hotel so much! I paid extra for Upper floor for better view and I absolutely loved it! The cleanliness in this hotel is second to none! Our room was always spotless! We went with breakfast and dinner included, loads of food to choose from! Entertainment is nightly at the bar, usually its a singer nothing major but I have to mention the guy on the saxophone was the best entertainment I have seen at this hotel! He is fantastic! Can't wait to return next year! Recommend!!

Fantastic hotel! After arriving, we had room 211, with swimming pool view. We booked a room with sea view, so the 2nd day we moved to room 343 with sea view on Gomera side, which was a perfect solution. The food at the buffet is very good and a great variety. The Italian restaurant is also very good. The staff was really helpful. 1 thing that could have been better: with such a great hotel and facilities, a sort of introduction would have been helpful. Now we hardly received any.
We’ll definitely consider to come back.

Good hotel, maybe a little bit older but everything is functional so we're totally satisfied. Quiet place, good food, good variety of beverages, nice and friendly staff.

We recently stayed at the hotel over Easter. The location is nice. The restaurants, the pools and the garden are nice. The tennis coach - Marco - is perfect! Thank you for a very effective tennis-workout: my backhand, volley and slice have improved massively with the help of Marco!
The staff were very helpful and attentive, especially the local ones.

Best 5 star all inclusive we have ever stayed in. On arrival we were welcomed and easy check in. Very large building so useful to get accompanied to room with our luggage. Room very comfortable with great balcony including sin beds. Several pools, lots of sun beds (no need to reserve beds) and 2 towels each. Range of foods at each meal truly excellent - suiting every taste. Also included 2 specialist restaurants. The most impressive part of this place is the excellent friendly team - they seem so happy to work here.

We absolutely loved our stay in Roca Nivaria. From the moment we arrived it was a warm welcoming, as well as we arrived quite late when the dinner was over, however they still kept some food for us! The area is amazing, we enjoyed the morning swim in the amazing pools and late sunset views by the promenade. Food is excellent with a lot of choices at the buffet and the rooms are well maintained and clean. We are definitely coming back here!
