Bar Canijo

We were originally going to order two different main dishes of pork, but the owner came out to tell us they were sold out of the one… but to componsate, she added the famous sauce from the one that was sold out to the one they still had. She also suggested a few different things to try, so we got more food and flavor for our money. We were in heaven! The food was SO good and flavorful, super nice and efficient staff and reasonable prices. Definitely going back!

Very delicious food, good wine and great service, we had croquetas, the patatas bravas and the samosa with yogurt sauce. We even came back later for coffee and dessert because we had liked lunch so much. Definitely recommend!

Wow! Love this place! The staff is super kind and were patient with our beginner level of Spanish, they even offered to translate if needed. Every dish was delicious! They were very busy, yet we never felt ignored or rushed. We plan on returning again many more times during our stay in Algodonales:)

The food was some of the best we've had in Andalucia. The waitress was so friendly, patient (we were a large group with small children and a toddler) and sweet with us all. We really enjoyed our time there.

Best breakfast and food. Original spanish cuisine, made with love. Try the spanish craftbeers, be there late afternoon for daily changing small meals !

Tapas bar with Great options for vegan and vegetarian food! Spanish classics but Fusion kitchen as well in a nice interior. Really good price, too, for 10€/person you get more than you can eat. Highly recommended!

A fantastic bar/restaurant with a large variety of local delicacies, great service and good drinks. Tables have a QR code that takes you to the English menu.

In summary: This is the perfect place to eat. A modern / creative taste in the different tapas, a passioned and very welcoming personal, a large variety of regional food and drinks and all of this for a more than fair price.

Modern taste: each tapas we had played with another combination of spices which gave each tapas its unique taste. The variety and creativity of tastes really impressed us. There is an extra vegetarian and vegan menu which is another evident of the modern and welcoming concept of the restaurant.

Passioned personal: the waitress was very elaborative on the tapas and the big variety of regional wines and even desert wines. She enabled us to choose a wine of our taste and a perfect collection of tapas. It made the place feel very friendly and welcoming.

Fair price: compared to restaurants in big tourism spots like Ronda, the price for our dinner was low. In respect of the quality of the food the price-to-value-ratio was and will not be beaten in our further holiday.

The stay at Bar Canijo will be remembered as a highlight of our holiday. Thanks for the pleasurable evening. We hope to be able to visit your restaurant again.

Only came out for drinks but had a pork Tapas served with chips which was lovely and a nice size for €3. Had a few drinks very reasonable prices.

Fantastic all round! We have been for evening meals on numerous occaisions & I have stopped in for tapas during the day too. Great choice for vegetarians. Friendly, efficient staff. Virgina goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. We will be visiting often.
