Hotel Cartagena Puerto

Fantastic central location in the ancient city of Cartagena - a stones throw from the shops, monuments and waterfront. Our room had a balcony and a fantastic view. They DO take dogs - up to 15kg and didn’t raise an eyebrow at our Water Dog. I think they suggested we take a suite and asked if Nena wanted a dog basket too! Though that might have been the only room they had left. Room service, mini bar and wifi all worked great. Staff were kind. The car park has a tiny lift - so we parked our Megane overnight in a nearby underground car park, where we got an hotel discount. We had the most comfortable bed with the finest and crispest white sheets ever - a place I shall return to.

Got upgrade to a suite... if you park underground, bring a small car.

Fantastic location. The hotel sits on the edge of the historic Old Town. We have spent 7 weeks travelling through Spain and in my opinion this hotel has some of the best staff we have met. Reception staff were exceptional from arrival to departure. Breakfast staff were pleasant and welcoming. The hotel also as a car park whchs is a nice bonus.

Perfect location, excellent breakfast and wonderful staff. Car park is tiny and challenging so proceed with extreme caution.

The location and views from this hotel are great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are a good size too.

Great location, modern design, super inviting breakfast with really big selection of food. Lots of traditional as well. Personnel was atentive, helpfull when I had problems connecting to wi-fi. Unfortunately the hotel parking has to be payed extra.

This is a great hotel in a central location. Please BE AWARE - if you plan to drive to the hotel and use NH Cartegena as your destination, Google maps will direct you to a nearby dead-end street. Instead use the address Calle Real 2 as the destination and you will be taken to the correct place

Further information: Access to the hotel car park is very tight but there is underground public parking just round the corner for which the hotel has a subsidised rate

Great location with access to all shopping and historical sites. The breakfast is fantastic.

Very well placed hotel, close to the Roman theatre, the seafront and the pedestrian zones in the centre of Cartagena. Breakfast is nothing special. The rooms have very nice views if you are lucky to have one looking to the sea. The rooms are comfortable and have at least two sets of pillows for those not happy with large soft ones. Clean rooms and very proffesional staff.

Lovely location and close to shops restaurants. Lovely young lady at reception and wished us a happy birthday straight away so attention to detail was excellent.

We traveled to Spain, January 2019, and Cartagena was one of our favorite stops.

Upon arrival, Hotel NH Cartagena told us a Junior Suite was available, would we like to upgrade?

We said yes but were not prepared for the treat we had been offered as our room had a wrap around terrace view of the beauty of Cartagena's port.

The room was very comfortable, with a great sitting room where the television and couch / chairs offered extra space to relax.

We took photos and are delighted by the memories.

One particular aspect of this hotel was amazing and that is the parking because in order to store the car, an elevator is used.

Most unique location, highly recommend!

Perfect location near the harbor and Calle Mayor, the bustling shopping area (which is full of bars and restaurants and beautiful buildings). Great breakfast and very comfortable bed. Very weird to take your car down am elevator to the garage, so luckily we had a small car. Would NOT want to arrive here with an SUV.

Beautiful hotel, good location

Nice, clean room with a nice view. We had sideview on the Plaza Heroes de Cavite and the Port of Cartagena.
Breakfast is good; due to corona measures there is currently no self-service buffet. Instead, everything is visible on safe distance and you tell the waiter what you would like to have. Works well.

We did not park in the hotel, but conveniently in the underground parking at the port, approx. 400 meter from the hotel. The price is around 19 Euro per 24 hours.

The hotel is located approx. 1 minute from the entrance of the Roman Theatre, the main shopping street and the square with a few souvenir shops.
Also located closely to the Roman Forum district, Casa de la Fortuna etc.

Lovely hotel, situated in an ideal location, kept very clean & tidy and friendly staff.

Clean, comfortable, air conditioned hotel with good showers and good free Wi-Fi. It's situated 100 meters from the marina and right next to the main shopping area of Cartagena. The breakfast is fairly minimal having fruit, yogurt, bread, cheese so if your used to a full cooked breakfast then forget it.

Overall great place, location, and service. The breakfast staff, during this COVID period, does very well. Didn't use their parking garage, used nearby parking.

Great Hotel, well appointed, rooms are nice especially if you get a sea view. Staff very accommodating and always try to help if they can.

The best place to stay right in the middle of Cartagena's historical buildings. Easy access to restaurants and souvenir shops. Tosta del cheff at the hotel's restaurant is delicious. Opt for a room with balcony.

Great service, friendly staff, clean and organised, they went above and beyond! Recommended :)
