I went for a trip to the Collserola Natural Park after attending a conference held in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona regarding urban greening projects. Getting to the park was not difficult as it could be reached using the train (metro system), car or bicycle. After reaching the destination, I went around it by following some trails with the group. The experience was pleasant, and the park itself was calming and beautiful, with lots of trees and greenery. At the highest point of the park you had the opportunity to see every corner of the city of Barcelona.

Very wonderful walk and nature around, definitely worth the effort of trekking all the way up, which can be very tyring if you are not used to do that like me, but was fun anyway

Nice place to go for a hike, with great restaurants to eat within the park. Free car park. Picnic areas plus ancient treasures to discover too.😍

If you are looking for an activity that's closer to nature but don't have time to go out of the city, then taking a hike to Collserolla is definitely a great option. We chose a route to take via the Diputació de Barcelona app, and the trail was generally easy and safe with several pitstops and signposts to let you know you're on the right track. So much nature to see, and hikers and bikers passing by are always very respectful and friendly.

I'm lucky enough to live here so 5 stars.
The walks are well signposted and it's a brilliant break from city.
The only advice I would give is don't go on the small tracks with headphones in as there are lots of downhill bikers. Easy to hear coming if you are listening.

Barcelona is not just La Ramblas and tapas. I'd recommend to check this park on BCN hills. Great views and tons of fresh air guaranteed. I mean you came here to experience Mediterranean, right?

If you're living in Sant Cugat it's a great place for a weekend trip. You have two tracks, yellow and blue one. There's silent, fresh air and awesome view from the hills.

Though very little in terms of what you might think of a natural park, Collserola gives a much needed liberating space for Barcelonians. It is very crowded but the “Carretera de les Aigües” that crosses it offers amazing views of the City. As a local I go as often as I can, wether it is for a walk or for running. Lots of not so known little trails make the delight of runners (and bikers) of all levels. Weekends are really busy, probably better if you go very early in the morning if you can’t avoid the weekend.

Collserola connects Barcelona with the cities of Sant Cugat, Valldoreix and others. A typical excursion could be reaching one of those and then go back with the Ferrocarrils (cheap ticket) back to Barcelona in 20 minutes.

As modest as it is Collserola makes Barcelona an even better place as it is, with this touch of “mountain” that helps Barcelonians switch from sea to the mountain faster than in any other city in Europe.

Caught a train from Barcelona to a small town within Serra de Collserola, then ran through the trails back to Barcelona. Was beautiful mixed terrain, really easy to navigate. If you're into trail running, I'd definitely recommend this.

Sprawling as it is beautiful. At only 30 minutes from the city, it's a welcome reprieve from the touristy hustle and bustle of Barcelona. Pick any part of the huge park - you can't go wrong.
