MAS VILAR

We had a long weekend stay. Was fantastic. The nature is magnificent during fall, the food is awesome and the hosts are extremely welcoming. Plus: we went fully by public transport. With a bit of patience and flexibility it is definitely doable. Would recommend anyone looking for some time to relax from their busy and fast paced lives!

We had an amazing time. We were 10 people from the UK, Netherlands and Germany and rented both parts of the house to be on our own. The location is outstanding if you are looking for tranquility surrounded by astonishing nature. It is 25 minutes drive down a winding single track mountain road to the village and supermarket so don't forget the eggs!
The house itself is of high standards and well decorated throughout. We love to cook and bake and were positively surprised by the equipment in the kitchens of the house (there even was a paella pan and a hand mixer!). Everything was absolutely spotless (linen, bathrooms, floors, cutlery and plates) when we arrived. The windows in almost all the rooms are like paintings: it would be hard to get better views.
The garden around is beautifully maintained with lush planting of herbs, flowers and shrubs. It was amazing to get up in the morning and pick a fresh fig from the tree in the garden! Depending on the side of the house you are renting (we had both) there are two different tables under a wooden roof, a BBQ and a playground including a swing, trampolin, football goal, and a net for squash.
The owner Joan, while being available whenever you need him, is extremely polite and helpful, and it is clear that he really cares for the well-being of his guests and the maintenance of the house.

Mas Vilar was for our family (14 in total , 8 adults and 6 children) a perfect holiday home! It is a paradise!
We enjoyed the marvelous location on the mountain with a beautiful view on the surrounding forests. Also Arbucies was a nice and hospitable town. We liked the shops, the services and activities in town and especially the festivity with the folkloric entry from the giants and Catalan musicians on Sunday morning the 28th of July!
Mas Vilar is an excellent exit place to visit very nice cities and places in the surroundings as mentioned on the internet site.
Mas Vilar has a luxury accommodation to offer. The six sleeping rooms with each a very luxury bathroom made our stay for each of our for families very comfortable and gave us also a much appreciated privacy. Also the communal rooms (living, kitchens, extra toilets) are very spacious and well equipped in a very authentic style.
The garden and surroundings are very well kept and offer a lot of recreation possibilities with the necessary accommodations (swimming pool, sunny terrace, shadowy terrace with all the necessary seats and tables). The outside grill near to the shadowy terrace, with a play-space for the children, is also a success! The swimming pool was well organized and safe for our children ( from 2 to 15 years). Also the adults enjoyed it very much.
We were very pleased with the attentive and discrete way the housekeepers and gardeners communicated with us. The cleaning of the kitchen and bathrooms and changing the towels and sheets at the end of the first week was perfect.
We enjoyed also the short meeting and the mailing with Joan Garolera, our landlord!

We stayed 2 weeks with 3 families and we really loved it. Very nice house with tasteful furnishing, great view and good equipment. Very spacious, 2 more families would have been possible. The house is located in the forest with no neighbours, hiking opportunites start directly at the house. It was perfect for our 6 children too (5 to 9 years old): they had a lot of fun with the pool, billard, table tennis, trampoline etc. If the great nature around the house is not enough you have to drive 35 to 60 minutes to visit Barcelona, Girona or some nice beaches. We did so every second day, so we had a very good mixture of exploring and relaxing. Last but not least the owners are very nice and really want that you enjoy your stay. They helped us directly with each question and request we had. Our summary: we can really recommend this house!

A marvellous estate in a natural green enviroment, furnished very tastefully with premium quality furniture and utilities.

Ideal for up to 5 families at a time.
The villa can also be divided into two separate lodgings.
Besides keeping an eye on the technical functioning of all installations the owner also cares for the availability of the necessary consumer goods, such as dishwasher tabs, detergents, soap, toilet paper, shampoo etc.

The house is kept very clean at all times and towels are replaced regularly.
It takes about 10 minutes from the house to the next village where you find a market, supermarkets, a petrol station, etc.
Distance to the beach is around 35 minutes, to larger towns like Barcelona abt 90 minutes.
The owners are very friendly, but not intruding at all.
I can recommend the estate 100%

We had a fabulous week in this property. Everything we needed was provided. The kids loved the pool and playground. Lovely and secluded. Would recommend.

Bon servei i menjar cassola bonissim.
Atenció molt bona per part de Noemí i Jaume que porten la casa.

I per arrodonir i relaxar un massatge a l'habitacio per part del Xavi Pérez - Estudi Osteopatic.

La atención fue muy buena, nos recomendaron rutas para ir a andar y sitios para ir a comer.
El sitio es para desconectar completamente ya que es muy tranquilo y tiene pocas habitaciones
Tiene una zona común con billar, juegos de mesa, chimenea, tv y varios sofás. Varias terrazas y piscina aunque no la usamos puesto que hacía fresco.
Nos dejaron hacer el check out más tarde sin coste.
Mejorable: Los horarios de desayuno, comida y cena. El desayuno es de 9 a 10h para mí muy tarde y justo puesto que las 6 habitaciones bajan al mismo tiempo. Se hace algo incómodo.
La cena es a las 21h, pasa lo mismo que con el desayuno. Son momentos que rompen la tranquilidad del sitio pero hay que contar que son 2 personas las que gestionan la casa .
La cocina la tienen siempre abierta para poder pedir algo de picar y si tienes alguna sugerencia siempre están dispuestos a moldear y adaptarse a tus horarios si les avisas con tiempo.
La comida y la cena tienes que avisar con un día de antelación si te vas a quedar. Es una opción de primero y una de segundo completamente casero.
No nos hicieron la habitación aunque tampoco lo necesitamos para 2 noches sí que es cierto que siempre gusta subir y verla ordenada, la cama hecha y un repasito de limpieza.
En definitiva nos ha gustado mucho y repetiremos.

El sitio es espectacular en plena montaña! Para conectar con una misma! La atención maravillosa! Tanto Noemí como Jaume, te hacen sentir como en casa! Muy atentos en todo! Lo recomiendo! Pienso volver en verano para darme un baño en la piscina!

Una experiència inoblidable. Un oasis de pau, confort i descans que ens ha permès desconnectar. La masia està envoltada de natura i el tracte de la Noemí i en Jaume ha estat exquisit. Són persones properes i encantadores que et fan sentir com a casa. Moltes gràcies. Tonrarem!!

La casa es super acogedora y bonita.
La comida es muy buena y abundante, se nota que Noe y Jaume lo hacen con amor.
Un sitio super recomendable para descansar unos días.

Noemí y Jaume gestionan esta Preciosa Masiá con mucho mimo y cariño. Hemos estado 1 semana disfrutando de la tranquilidad del entrono, la atención del personal es expecional.
La casa es bonita y está muy bien cuidada, el constante trabajo y dedicación de sus dueños se palpa en cada rincón. Además son unos grandes cocineros, comida muy casera y buena!!!! Os recomiendo que esta casa rural para descansar, comer bien y estar a gusto. Enhorabuena Noemí, Jaume y resto de personal ❤

La comida exquisita, la limpieza perfecta, el entorno maravilloso y la atención perfecta. Hemos pasado un finde de 10 y desconectado muchísimo. Muchas gracias!

Fantàstica localització!!! Espais molt elegants i cuidats. Unes habitacions amples i cuidades. Menjar casolà molt bo. Hem pujat en época de calçots i hem disfrutat molt. En Jaume i la Noemí molt bons amfitrions, ens han atés molt bé. Super recomenable. Hem repetit!!!! Magnífic lloc per estar tranquil i descansar. L’atenció ha sigut fantàstica de nou. Pots quedar-te a la masia o bé voltar pel magnífic entorn natural i, si és estiu, gaudir de la piscina. No ens ha faltat de res. Els àpats molt bons. L’accés des del poble esta en bon estat. Segur que tornarem a repetir. Gràcies Noemí i Jaume.

La nostra estada a Más Vilar ha estat fantàstica. La casa ho té tot per gaudir d'uns dies de tranquil·litat en plena natura. La Noemí i el Jaume ens han fet sentir molt a gust. Hem fet una estada amb pensió complerta i ens ha encantat. Sens dubte és un lloc perfecte per desconnectar.

Masía en un enclave idílico, muy bien cuidada y muy limpia. El camino de acceso desde Arbúcies está en muy buen estado (restaurado recientemente). Ideal para realmente desconectar.

Genial. Una passada. Relax al bell mig d'un entorn meravellós com és aquest racó del Montseny.

Mas Vilar és un lloc idíl·lic, ideal per desconnectar i gaudir de la Natura. La Masia és molt bonica, cuidada i no hi falta cap detall. Els seus amfitrions, la Noemí i en Jaume, et faran sentir com a casa des del primer moment. La piscina és espectacular, aigües salines, neta i molt ben cuidada. Pel que fa el menjar, la Noemí cuina com els àngels, tot està deliciós, i no té cap problema en adaptar-se als més menuts i fer un menjar improvitzat per ells. En Bernat i la Bruna s’ho van passar d’allò més bé, tant que no han parat de preguntar quan hi tornarem… Ho farem ben aviat, sens dubte !!!!
