What a simply absolutely superb hotel with truly wonderful staff. Been twice. So many exceptional people to look after customers; too many to name all but here’s a few …. Besik maker of wonderful flat white coffees and all round brilliant waiter in the main restaurant that provides endless superb food; the head chef with his incredible bacon and mushroom omelettes, Letitia and Enrique. Orlando and the pool support team …. so friendly, smiling and helpful every day. Carla always so knowledgeable and available to help and truly care. Gonzalo, Pedro and Jonathan

The setting and location of the hotel and its style and design is brilliant but overall it’s all about the staff; one year on virtually all still there …. thank you for another brilliant stay

Wonderful stay.
Fantastic location and all staff pleasant and helpful.
Food is delicious - wide choice in breakfast buffet.
Complementary drinks/ice cream twice daily around pool area. Helpful pool attendants - thank you Orlando!
Lots of seating areas in different locations - day beds and loungers.
Freshwater pool is stunning and surrounding shrubs are mainly beautiful Hibiscus. Grounds are immaculate.
Several choices for dining. We spent most lunchtimes at Las Pardelas- again superb service and food delicious.
Room was perfect.
Have no complaints whatsoever. It was just a brilliant and well deserved 5*.

Yet another stay at this hotel with 80% repeater guests. That says it all !! We go 2 to 3 times a year. Everything else about this fabulous hotel has been said. Tiziana and her team will make your stay heavenly. ALL the staff will go the extra mile for their guests :-

The hotel is an oasis of peace in a moderately busy area. It is beautifully appointed, with a lovely pool and outstanding, helpful staff. I was struck by how happy the staff were as they went about their duties. I immediately booked to return to the hotel at the same time next year.

UPDATE: Tiziana (hope I’ve spelled that right) came to find us & couldn’t have apologised more. Our room was upgraded to a STUNNING room/suite with a huge private balcony.

Our flight home on the last day wasn’t until almost 9pm. Tiziana saw me having breakfast & asked what time it was and I’d mentioned we had hours to kill. She took the key off me & changed it so we could stay in the room until 6:30pm so we didn’t have to lug suitcases and bags all day with us.

That was a godsend. We could relax for the day and not have hassle.

We had a lovely last couple of days because of this. Victoria was also lovely & a great help!

Hotel looks stunning (really it does!), and most staff do what they can to be sure you have what you need. But then you have the flip side.

First, let me say this is not by any means a hotel catered to anyone below the age of 65. We aren’t party people in any respect but it’s definitely for older people here.

Now the problem.

We came here for a luxury honeymoon & haven’t gotten it.

Our balcony is overlooked completely, and on night two after 2am, a man almost launched himself over onto my balcony while screaming at me about smoking cigarettes because he sleeps with his door open. It did give me a fright - I don’t know how he didn’t wake the hotel.

I told the hotel this & was told to come back if it happened again but I HATE to complain. We don’t feel comfortable sitting on the balcony now and haven’t since.

Then you have the roadworks, directly outside our door. Jackhammers and all that start from stupid o’clock in the morning. I went down to ask about this and was basically told at reception, ‘well what do you want us to do?’

When you pay this much money for what should be a 5 star hotel, roadworks & loud noise is a hotel problem, not a guest problem. Three times I went to reception over it. Each person shrugs. That, let me tell you, is NOT what you would expect from a ‘5 star luxury hotel’.

Not once did we get an actual apology over the noise or inconvenience & it has me fuming. We’re still here and have a couple of days left. It was the attitude of the staff when I’d said it that it bothered me even more.

Honestly, if you’re on honeymoon spend your money somewhere else. We regret so much we came here for what should have been the nicest holiday we’ll ever have.

Playa Fañabe has lovely adult only hotels on the strip & the location is 100% better as there isn’t a whole lot around here.

This was our third visit to El Mirador and it was even better than before, everything about this Hotel is definitely 5* and the wonderful staff headed by Tiziana make it even better, many thanks to Orlando & Jordan the pool attendants, Ivan , Jhonatan, Carlos, and all the other waiters plus a special thanks to all the unseen staff who make this Hotel so special, if you’re looking for an adults only 5* Hotel in Tenerife with fabulous food and great location, don’t hesitate you won’t find a better one. We’ve already booked again for next year!

We have visited the Grand El Mirador on many occasions and have just returned from our latest trip. From the moment you arrive every request is catered for. The attention to detail is second to none. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and attentive and it is very nice to see the same faces each time we return. The hotel standards are always extremely high, the communal areas are spotless. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and well appointed, we have always enjoyed fabulous views of Playa del Duque, but we were truly spoilt on our recent visit from the balcony on the 6th floor - wow! The Pergola restaurant is a particular favourite of ours…. Somewhere to enjoy a leisurely lunch overlooking the beautiful grounds and pool. You are spoilt for choice at breakfast time too. We really can’t recommend this hotel enough and look forward to returning in March next year. A special mention must go to Tiziana, the Assistant Manager - she welcomes all guests with the same warm welcome and goes out of her way to make everyone’s holiday as special and memorable as possible - thank you!

An amazing hotel which definitely has the wow factor. Gorgeous luxurious rooms. Staff were excellent. Could not fault anything. We couldn't stay at any other hotel in Tenerife from now on.

Just couldn't fault it. Just a superb hotel. One of the best I have been to anywhere in the world. Just offered exatly what I want. The fact that 80% of the guests we met were returning here says so much for what this wonderful exclusive place offers. This is a plac e to switch of be pampered and relax. Just idyllic.

Massive thank-you to the Iberostar Grand el Mirador for such a wonderful holiday . This is a truly amazing extremely comfortable luxury adults only hotel with fabulous facilities in an amazing location.. We can highly recommend it so much so that we have already booked to return again in October.
Massive thank-you to all the el Mirador's amazing staff with special thanks to Tiziana the subdirector . We have never met anyone quite as amazing as Tiziana . She seems to have this magic ability to be everywhere all at once and always has all the time in the world for every guest , She simply lights up the room where ever she goes even on those rare Canarian cloudy days . Thank-you Tiziana and a special thank-you to our marvellous Butler Diana ( like the Princess ) . Diana is also amazing and so charming, knowledgably, intuitive ,and attentive. and again nothing is ever too much trouble for Diana .
And last but most definitely not least you must try the Mirador's fine dining El Cenador Restaurant . Really really really excellent food delivered by Davide and Elisa and they gave the very best service and the best evening we have ever had ever anywhere in the world ! How good is that ? What more can I say?

I had a fantastic experience at the Iberostar El Mirador hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, assisting us with rebooking transportation and adjusting our room after a flight cancellation. The manager's personal attention to our vegan dietary needs was impressive, and her farewell gesture added a special touch.

The dining experience at El Cenador restaurant was outstanding. The waiting staff and chefs delivered excellent service and delectable food. The vegan tasting menu was a highlight, leaving us thoroughly impressed over the course of a leisurely 3-hour dining experience.

The gym's stunning sea and beach view made working out a pleasure. The rooms were both clean and comfortable, contributing to a relaxing stay. The spa experience was a true highlight, with superb foot reflexology and Swedish massages. The spa's tranquil ambiance and exclusivity for hotel guests enhanced the relaxation.

The hotel's prime location offered convenient access to a variety of great restaurants, some even offering discounts for hotel guests. Overall, my stay at Iberostar El Mirador was truly exceptional, thanks to the friendly staff, remarkable dining, breathtaking gym view, luxurious rooms, and delightful spa experiences.

A wonderful hotel in a great location. Upon check-in we were greeted from our taxi by the friendly and welcoming staff and offered cold beverages. After a quick check-in process we were shown to our room and everything was explained. The junior suites are large with a large bathroom and a super king sized bed. There is a plentiful supply of towels and pool towels are changed on a daily basis.

The breakfast buffet had a fantastic selection of pretty much anything you’d want for breakfast including fresh meats, smoked salmon, pancakes and waffles.

The pool area is large with plenty of comfortable sun beds available. The helpful pool staff bring over the sun bed mattresses and will sort out your parasol too. Once again, incredibly friendly staff. The pool is a large free form pool with plenty of space so it never felt crowded. There are a range of yoga and pilates classes offered by the pool area each day.

Food and drink can be ordered from the pool staff as needed. We found the food to be good for lunch time and was reasonably priced. The pool staff bring around cocktails and ice creams a couple of times during the day (free of charge).

There are a couple of small corner shops near the hotel and there are plenty of electric scooters for hire if you are venturing further afield.

Amazing Hotel, one of the best I have stayed in. The attention to detail is remarkable.
I have stayed at the Mirador 3 times and it has never disappointed me.
I ate in all 3 restaurants and also had room service, the food and presentation simply outstanding.
The staff and management were wonderful, I was a sole traveller, and had plenty of time to watch and observe how everyone was treated, it was a pleasure to see, and they looked after me perfectly.
The rooms are full of beauty and character, the pool area is simply heaven, with the sound of the sea, and an amazing pool.
I had left it far too long to return, but I have decided this will be at least a once a year event for the future...I am so looking forward to my next visit...nowhere beats this hotel!!

I’m not sure I can add much more positive detail for this wonderful hotel? Just returned from a month and it just never fails to impress. We were in Star prestige/Balconada and we’re looked after like royalty, did this surprise us? No as we’ve been here many times previously. If your seeking peace and tranquility then you won’t find better on the island. Staff Maria Jose, Nathaly, Davide, Letica, Eliza, Besos, Carlos, Shiela, Diana, Johnathan last but not least there is the assistant manager a petite lady with a huge presence at the hotel basically she makes everything happen. Thank you so much for looking after us and making our stay memorable.

Top quality adult only hotel with service to match. We just love this hotel with it’s great facilities, rooms, restaurants and space – always feels so quiet even when it’s full. Quality of the restaurants is as good as you can find in Costa Adeje and the staff are just wonderful. In particular we appreciated the help and professionalism of Tiziana, Sara and Leticia, but there are many more we could mention if I could remember all their names. We love the place so much we booked to return next year before we left the hotel.

Lovely 5* hotel with staff to match. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The pool area is huge with plenty of space and a massive pool.

The location, although not central, is in a better, less busy part of the seafront.

To be perfectly honest there is very little to fault. One of the best places I’ve stayed in for a long time.

This hotel is exceptional. Truly 5 star staff, service and standards.
If you want total luxury for adults only and made to feel important & well looked after by all the staff, then this is definitely the hotel to choose. Out of all the 5 star adult only European hotels we've stayed in, this beats them all.

The food was exquisite in the 3 hotel restaurants. From buffet to fine dining taster menu's, the choice was endless, with different menu's on offer every night. Equally fantastic was the breakfast buffet and the free cocktails brought to everyone poolside with snacks.

The layout and size of the hotel meant it felt like the hotel was only 1/3 full - everywhere was spacious & quiet with plenty of sun-loungers to choose from and few people in the pools. You'd never believe the hotel was full.

Our room had amazing views straight out to sea, with spacious balcony with sun-loungers, chairs & table & everything you could wish for inside the room too.

All the staff were smiley, happy & gave great service, from the poolside team to the bars, restaurants and reception.

We have to give a special mention to Davide & Eliza in the restaurants who were real fun and made our nights. Also massive praise to Tiziana, the Assistant Manager who was always visible, smiling and chatty with guests and staff. We hope she never moves hotel as she really is doing a great job here.

Prior to booking, we looked at others similar nearby. Having walked past them whilst staying here, this was without doubt the right choice. We're already looking at dates to return. If we want a holiday in the Canaries, we'll be going back here every time!

I just don't have enough words to describe how nice our stays in this hotel are. We've been here several times and have already booked other stays. It's a little paradise on earth, a place of quietness, quality, elegance, friendship.. it's just perfect. The staff of this hotel is really the top of the top, you can always rely on them to help you to make your stay perfect. Tiziana... the star of this hotel is just the most marvelous assistant manager of a hotel I've ever met. She's a precise jewel for this hotel and for the clients. But this is true also with the reception staff, the restaurant staff, the pool staff and the cleaning staff. The frame is magical, the climate is ideal, the food is delicious.. I will definitely stay a faithful customer as long as this exceptional team and this exceptional place stay like that. One of the best hotels ever. The whole hotel areal is amazing and has a great architecture. The rooms are super nice, spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The pool and gym are is also nice and you always find here great service and customer care.

What I also can say is that the food, especially the breakfast was amazing. So many different choices and everything was super fresh. There is no way someone will not be satisfied with this wide food selection.
