The rating is 5 stars for value for money. The food is decent but not necessarily anything outstanding.

The set menu costs 9€ each and gets you starter, main, dessert, wine and coffee. How do they do it??

There are 2 restaurants at the top of the hill in niño de Mula (child of Mula - I guess this means a small town connected to Mula). The restaurants are next to the traffic lights on either side of the road.

The restaurant in the other side is good for tapas. Antigua Venta is for a sit down meal inside. It's nice and cool with friendly people and good service.

No one there seems to speak English but that hasn't caused a problem when we've used Google translate (the camera option to convert what you're looking at live is a life saver while I learn Spanish) with the menu and pointed to what we want and then asked for vino blanco or vino tinto.

Basic salad and bread comes to share with the meal, I think there were around 3 starters you choose from - things like fish soup or crab salad. A variety of about 5 mains like pork pinchos and then either fruit or dessert. When I say fruit, I mean literally a banana or an orange, but it's still an option if you fancy something fresh.

The wine served is produced locally which is a nice touch.

All in all a pleasant meal and extremely good value.

What a lovely restaurant. Friendly staff, good choice of food and not too expensive. 25euros per couple for Tapas starter, Salad, Main Course, Dessert and Drinks. Coffee & Liquors after. Nice touch was that they had translated the dessert choices into English. A lovely courtyard looked inviting but too hot for lunchtime meal. Well worth another visit. Very friendly service and the food was well prepared and very tasty. A shame that the main course arrived before we'd finished our starter.

Paramos a comer de vuelta a casa y disfrutamos de la comida.
El entorno del Niño de Mula es agradable, al menos en la época en la que fuimos. Yo personalmente pedí unas chuletas de cordero a la brasa que estaban espectaculares.
Trato correcto y servicial.
