Hotel Poseidón Playas de Guardamar

Fantastic hotel, extremely happy with our stay, staff cannot do enough for you, rooms and hotel are absolutely spotless, food is amazing, there is nothing about this hotel I could complain about, will deffinately be returning soon.

We have just had the most amazing week away.
Rooms were large. Big comfortable beds. Incredible view from balconies. Showers hot and powerful.
The food was fabulous can't fault the range and quality. (Vegetarian may struggle) Only downside the dining room can get quite noisy.
We were all-inclusive, which was all branded alcohol and branded ice creams.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Although at times the queues to be served were long, the staff always had a smile.
This hotel is way out of town, in a very quiet area, and the majority of guests were spanish speaking. For us, this was perfect, but it might not suit everyone.
The beach is stunning and warm but if you plan to go wading into the sea, water shoes are recommended. As you wade out, there's rocks.
I have to say all your staff are amazing. You should be really proud of them. But a massive thank you to Patricia, Laura, Manuel, and the lovely young man at reception who's name begins with J, you guys just made our stay more perfect and help make us many many memories THANK YOU.

Think this was the 8th time staying at this hotel over the last 7 year's. Food is always amazing. Rooms are always clean. Variety of drinks on all inclusive is brilliant. I normally stay here on my own as a friend lives 10 minutes away. Mostly Spanish that stay here and i love that! Makes you feel like your actually on holiday unlike other places like Benidorm. guests are lovely and polite as it's more of a family hotel rather then couples but still great place to have a relaxing holiday so close to the beach ⛱ 😀 I've stayed here in May June July August and 5 times in September. Very busy this September but that just goes to show what a wonderful hotel it is for people to keep coming every year

My family and I went to this hotel, for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. Although this is a predominantly Spanish hotel, I cannot praise the staff enough. Their English is better than my Spanish, and they really interact with the guests.
But the way they went above and beyond for the night of my parents anniversary was just truly EPIC.
The whole animation team were so involved. Right down to balloons with hand written notes of love etc.
I would love to name each of them individually, but I'll just name them as a team. Thank you animation team. You were brilliant.
The bar staff were funny and helpful. Big thank you to all of them. Especially the young man who had to put up with my young neices and there constant need for biscuits.
The housekeeping team were great, friendly and the rooms were always clean and tidy.
I can't say enough good things about our holiday, about the hotel, or the wonderful staff, who really made our holiday super special.

Great everything, but the spa isn't for children to jump in , but thats life.

Hotel Playas de Guardamar del Segura: The ANIMATION/ANIMACION TEAM WERE OUTSTANDING!!! 5 STARS!!! (Marian, Alba, Tania, Noeli, Sergio, Belen, and Marta) As soon as we arrived they made the kids feel included around the pool with all the games and Marian translated everything into English for them (and us). We had 3 kids in our holiday party (Aubreigh 5 years old, Darcy 8 years old, and Frankie 10) and they adapted activities where possible so that they could all take part together in everything. By our second day there Marian and Alba in the animation team knew all our kids by name which was a lovely personal touch. Nothing was too much trouble for the animation team and they always had smiles on their faces. It was our parent’s 40th wedding anniversary while we were there and Tania and the team went above and beyond to make that evening so special. They came into the restaurant with music, balloons, and created a great atmosphere and an evening we will never forget. The animation team turned our great holiday into an AWESOME holiday! Thank you so much!!!! The kids (Aubreigh, Darcy and Frankie) miss you loads ❤

Also, the hotel bar staff were all lovely, especially the young lady training for the police (Sorry can’t remember her name). She was always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. She was great with the kids too. Antonio at the pool bar was also very good 👍

The hotel location is right on the beach front which is perfect. Rooms are adequate, and there’s plenty of choice of food.

We were looking for somewhere a little quieter, but that still had beach access and good facilities. This place was great.

This really is a great hotel. I've never stayed in the same hotel twice, but I would stay here again. It's right on the beach - it couldn't be any closer. The food buffets were incredibly well catered for - I'm a vegetarian and I found plenty of delicious food to eat (although not a lot of non-animal protein). The hotel is very clean, rooms are beautiful, and the view was spectacular. The only downside was that the outdoor pool was freezing - too cold for us! But quite posssibly the best place I've stayed in (I've stayed in perhaps 75-100 hotels, hostels and guest houses).

We spent nearly two weeks here in Sep '17. The hotel was perfect for us - on the beach, 25 min walk along the beach to Guardamar, lovely sea view and balcony. We read some reviews about the food not being great but we found it to be fantastic. We were all inclusive so ate in the hotel the majority of the time - only eating out once for dinner and a couple of times for lunch. There was lots of choice for food - salads, meat dishes, fish dishes, desserts. We didn't get bored of the food. We wanted to be away from the typical English touristy places and this hotel turned out to be perfect for that. In our first week the hotel guests were predominantly Spanish which we loved. We noticed in our last couple of days that all the Spanish guests had checked out and the hotel seemed to fill up with English guests. We preferred to be around the Spanish as we don't speak the language which enabled us to relax more as we didn't have to overhear conversations! Great holiday, would definitely recommend this hotel.

hotel has lovely position right on a superb beech with sunbeds and parasols (payable) with a small bar. hotel has good facilities, rooms clean and tidy staff very friendly and helpful.. food is excellent and varied..ideal for kids with the animation team really very good...not particularly close to the town and will cost 10 euros each way..please be aware that this is a mainly Spanish and all entertainment is in Spanish....very good

Great place, good food. Everything was easy on this holiday. Childrens loves this place and pensioners. Worth of price.

Bad pictures from me but its a real nice hotel and a lot better then the most hotels in alicante for the same price. The hotel chain poseidon got very clean and stylish rooms. Only thing I didnt like is that there is too much people for one hotel so its way too crowded when you whant to eat or get a drink.

Great place for beach holiday. Nice budget hotel. Very close to the beach. Good secure parking.

Spent 5 days here and loved every minute of it, great location and quiet beaches. Staff very friendly and food and drinks excellent too. Would visit the hotel again.

Bit noisy at weekend but didn't spoil a nice stay

Guadamar beach is clean soft sand kept pristine clean, you can find a relatively quiet spot within a few hundred metres or so of gentle rambling.

For a two day vacation it was perfect for the kids. Close to the beach. It has parking which is a plus during high season.

Stayed here 20 years ago. Came back to reminise

Really bad food everything to salty or too sweet, the pool is really small and the room not great , the beach is right in front of the hotel that is a plus, but anything else not good at all.
