Mesón "La Noria"

Decided to drive the scenic way home and drove through Rojales. We parked a few roads away from the river and then went to explore. The restaurant is located across from the old waterwheel near the river. We decided to sit outside but in the gazebo located at the front of the building. There were approximately 16 / 20 seats outside and the same under the gazebo.
A member of staff promptly came over and took a drinks order, so we asked for a couple of menus at the same time.
The menu was written in both Spanish and English and had a good tapas style choice. The venue also offered menu of the day, which we both decided to have. There was a choice of 6/7 first course and the same for second course. We were given a fresh garden salad to share and a basket of fresh cut baguette. I had beef stew, my partner had octopus stew. Both were very tasty and piping hot. For Second course we ordered chicken in a mushroom and creamy white wine sauce and a pork chop both came with chips. We were then offered 4 choices of desert. Followed by coffees. In addition, we had sparkling water and a glass of wine between us. The service was very good even though the waiter spoke minimal English (and our Spanish still needs a lot of work!!) Inside the bar / restaurant was bustling but looked clean and well managed, the toilets were up a small flight of stairs but were also clean and pleasant to use.
Our menu of the day cost €12 each which covered everything we ordered.
Our visit was very pleasant, and if we were to pass through town again, I would be happy to return.

Great £10 menu del dia. We popped in as we were visiting the bridge and the wheel to a place called the wheel in Spanish. Paella to start, fish for main. Salad, bread, dessert and drink included.

Had a very nice menu del dia for €10 including wine. Not a great choice but perfectly adequate, we had liver for main and it was lovely. Chips nice and crispy too. Gorgeous home made cheesecake for dessert. Very helpful and pleasant staff. No complaints.

What a lovely typical old style Spanish restaurant we found. The food was delicious and great value especially the Jamon, was melting in your mouth. You won't be disappointed. Friendly and the menu is in English too. But we enjoyed trying what little Spanish we know.

Food is great but ignore the opening hours on here as they aren't correct. Several times I have arrived based on these opening hours and its closed.

Comida muy buena, trato excelente. El menú diario 12€. Recomiendo el gazpacho manchego, meluza a la marineray la tarta de chocolateblanco. Tienes que ir.

Mesón muy agradable, con comida casera buena y unos postres estupendos. El menú diario muy completo. Por once euros dos platos, ensalada, pan, bebida, café y un postre variado buenísimo. las tartas de chocolate blanco, queso, y tarta de Calatrava genial. El servicio muy rápido y atento. Altamente recomendable.
