LUMA encompasses the definition of fine dining in every way possible. From the moment you enter this small cozy place you're welcomed by a very professional staff. They make you feel at home no matter what. The atmosphere is incredible, with live singing and private feeling. The food is out of this world. It is so good that I went twice during my short visit! Everything tasted great and you can easily distinguish the mixed flavors of local Egyptian food with an international fuse all around. I can't recommend a specific dish because I tried half of the menu everything genuinely was amazing and worth trying. This restaurant is a must-go-to spot at El Gouna and should be one of your bucket list options when traveling. Can't wait to visit again and eat there.

During my week-long vacation in El Gouna I visited Luna restaurant 6 times! This is probably the best recommendation :)
the cuisine is delicious and the interior is beautiful. But the most praise deserves the excellent service, and the best bartender I've ever seen - Farid. The drinks he prepares are absolutely perfect, and the Alchemist drink is brilliant! Also the bartender Mohamed deserves high praise. A big applause for you guys! In addition, the atmosphere is very nice, I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Dining at Luma is definitely one of my favorite things to do when in Gouna! The menu offers the perfect fusion between international and Mediterranean dishes, creating the most mouthwatering meals. The attentive and courteous staff were definitely the cherry on too as they served us with warmth. We ran into the owners there and they are lovely people 😊 I highly recommend this place!

All the plates we ordered were absolutely delicious, the food is incredibly flavorful and authentic. I was very happy with the quality and quantity as well as the fast service. Even the cocktails were innovative, tried the Dates Dipper and it was a treat! I recommend the Beef Muhammara (excellent) and the slow cooked lamb (the rice is 100/10).

The food was phenomenal - they really elevate Mediterranean cuisine to an exquisite level. Along with a warm and lush atmosphere, and joyful staff, this place deserves repeated visits for sure.

In order of preference:
1. Black mussels and shrimp rice - deliciously grilled large shrimps (and generous!) along with perfectly cooked mussels in a delicious lemon butter sauce - the khalta rice was perfectly balanced and did not overpower the delicate seafood.

2. Beef Muhammara and chicken muhammara (two separate dishes) had generous succulent protein, the muhammara was delicate and not too overpowering either, the sides were exciting with the baked potatoes, labna and vegetables.

3. Lamb Laffah - a chic take on Syrian shawerma style wraps - the sides were wonderful (potatoes and hummus).

4. Slow cooked beef - juicy and the vermicelli was so delicious

Overall, such a pleasant experience.

I recently dined at Luma and was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The cocktails were expertly crafted and delicious, the food was top-notch and expertly prepared, and the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was enjoyable. I highly recommend Luma for anyone looking for a fantastic meal and great service. A must-visit!

After one week in El Gouna, we found by far the best cocktails in town. We returned many times for Islam and Farid (who created the signature cocktails).

The best restaurant in El Gouna! Been here 2 times during vacation. Steak is perfectly cooked. For desert kunafa with apple pie - probably one of the best desert I ever tried. And this is only one place where I experienced good cocktail in Egypt (Marakesh)👌🏼

One of my BEST dining experiences in Egypt!
The DARK & SEXY Vibes of this mostly outdoor restaurant were perfect!
First, they sat us without a reservation since we were having a reunion with friends from out of town and we arrived rather early! We had a SPICY 🌶cocktail mastercrafted by the bartender. The food was SPECTACULAR with layers of flavor, we had immaculately cooked steak on a bed of roasted red pepper purée, a veal stew over a bit of yellow rice and golden raisins, a beautiful Halloumi Capree’s, the lamb hummus and a lovely cake for dessert! Absolutely DELISH! With accommodating and attentive staff!

We had a really nice evening at Luma. The Food was amazing and so delicious. We ate so much and tried a lot of dishes. Really can recommend the Hallumni Salad and the Cocktails. We will defenetly come back when we are in El gouna.

Amazing restaurant, beautifully created dishes, interesting flavors. And a very nice ambiance to the place.

My favorite dish was the shrimp orzo, and the strawberry goat cheese salad was very good.

We also took the beef muhamara, the beef itself was very good but I didn’t care much for the muhamra and mujadara, a bit sweet for my taste. But was still very good.

Very happy to have found this gem in El Gouna. After finding it, we went twice and on our farewell night as well, as to us it is the best restaurant across categories during our trip and most likely in El Gouna.

What makes it unique:
A) The people. From the manager to Zacharia our waiter who made us feel truly special. Zacharia spoke excellent english and no special request was denied. After our first meal we took time to give feedback via the comment card they give to each guest, and the night after the feedback was already taken and implemented - so rare.

B) The Food: a fusion mixture - maybe call it a bridge between local ingredients, spices and culture and european/mediterranean tastes and presentation to match! Try the Lamb Hummus, the Lamb Chops, the Slow Cooked Beef and the divine Dessert: Date Cake!

C) Ambiance: very tastefully decorated and freshly opened, boho chic with lots of green plants and great date-worthy lighting. The heaters actually work compared to many you see elsewhere. It makes you almost fully forget the maybe only drawback (it is next to a road where maybe once an hour a big tour bus crosses your view)

We can strongly recommend to locals or tourists that dont have all inclusive - you most likely will want to eat here twice or more :)

We spent 5 days in El Gouna and decided to not only go once, but twice to Luma. This place is great! We truly enjoyed, both, dining and cocktails here. Service & atmosphere was great and very friendly. Food was tasty! Overall value & experience for pricing excellent. We chatted with the barkeepers, enjoyed cocktails, and a live DJ / Instrument set.
Luma was definitely a highlight among our restaurant & bar experiences in El Gouna. We‘d come back here anytime.
