The Lantern Room Restaurant

The first day we were in Luxor, have been told by the word of mouth about this place and we went there the three nights of our staying due its extraordinary fresh food and its exceptional menu.
Every single and different dish we ordered, was great, delicious, and served with excellence.
The staff is professional and nice enough.
The atmosphere is chill and relaxed.
Whatever you’d like to eat, you’ll get happy for sure.

Lovely restaurant in Luxor with nice music and great service. We enjoyed the soup of the day and the sticky toffee pudding. Would definitely revisit if we come to Luxor again.

Nice quiet and peaceful place to relax. We had a great little meal - Smokey chili and the mezze platter. Menu has a great variety, including plenty for vegetarians. Excellent lemon meringue cake with vanilla ice cream and black coffee to finish. Although many restaurants are unfortunately “dry” - no worries here - they serve wine and beer 🍺

Delicious western foods with reasonable price and good service. We ordered stuffed steak and duck roasted that are delicious. The desert of the day is caramel pudding with icecream is so impressive

We stumbled upon this place for late lunch. It was quite empty. Very nice and welcoming owner.

The food took a bit of time to prepare but they have a free and fast wifi so we didn't mind.

The best place in Luxor we found. We tried Sofra and Aisha, both recommended a lot online, but found the lantern room our favourite by far. The food is excellent, service lovely and the atmosphere is great. You can pay with card as well.

5 stars all around. I was looking for an authentic and reasonably priced Egyptian meal after 6 days of organized tours and tiresome buffets. This place is outstanding. A wonderful and well-rounded menu, including international options for those who want it. I had the falafel, chicken liver and a glass of Egyptian red wine – all outstanding, especially the food. If I had more than one day in Luxor, I would eat here every night – as the table next to me was doing! Prices are extremely reasonable and the service is world class. No reason to eat anywhere else in Luxor!

Excellent dinner and amazing service. The fried chicken special entree was fantastic. Great selection of wine and beer.

Local food targeted for tourists. The menu is in English and the owner speaks English. Prices include taxes and there is no hidden fees in the bill. I wish I could eat here every night during my trip in Egypt.

Great busy little restaurant serving a good variety of dishes, well priced and good portions.
If one had a slight gripe, it would be that the courses are served too close together.

The four of us shared 5 different starters, mainly vegetarian. They all tasted great. The staff was very friendly.
Also, the main course was good.

It was an awesome place to get a great meal instead of an average one on our cruise ship. Very good price too!

Really great, tasty food. Had the chicken apricot tajine and my girlfriend garlic prawns. Both the best food we had so far in Luxor. Very nice staff too. We can confirm the other reviews on quality of the Egyptian wine served. Only downside is that we felt sorry for staff that is was not so busy, but it was in the low season though.
If you have a chance test the food, very much recommended

Varied menu with Egyptian and European dishes. Only ate Egyptian which was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good prices. At the end of a long, hot day they also sell beer.

Awesome food with options for all! (Vegan, vegetarian etc.) Dessert was amazing and all freshly made.

5 STARS!!! DELICIOUS FOOD!!! We were looking where to have dinner and gave this place a chance as it was very busy inside and very happy we did because the food and service was spectacular. Also nice to have a beer or glass of wine with dinner as many places dont have this option. We ordered the lentil soup & falafel for starters and Butter chicken & beef tagine for mains and everything was DELICIOUS!!! The Butter chicken was WOW! The Chef/Owner Nasser really gives attention to his craft. Nasser came to our table and talked to us about the food and was very professional. The food here is so good and flavors were incredible. Thank you Chef and the whole team for a great dining experience in Luxor!
