Look no further because this place is not to be missed - An absolute must go!!! We loved it so much we went twice in two days. They were the best people we met in Luxor: genuine, honest, kind and passionate about what they are doing. There is no hustle or hassle here. The food was unbelievably delicious (seriously!!) and reasonably priced. It’s made on the spot and super fresh. Easily some of the best food we had in Egypt. The cafe setting is calm and peaceful, with a nice garden to sit in or options inside amongst artwork if you prefer. The owner is an art director who is working to create a beautiful space filled with unique art pieces. The whole thing is so special. Not to mention, there are two resident cats who are extremely sweet and cuddly (this is saying a lot as I’m not a cat lover). We were honestly sad to leave and to not be able to come again… hopefully in the future see you soon! We will recommend this to anyone and everyone who visits Luxor. Thanks guys for everything!!

A MUST in Luxor - the best food in the area in my opinion. The gorgeous cats are friendly and will come sit in your lap if you welcome it. The owner is a brilliant art director with a passion for food, and cooks everything fresh for you on the spot. A wonderful use of spices, vegetables and honouring Egyptian local foods. Also the music here is groovy, you can check out conceptual art in the back gallery too.

This is the only vegetarian restaurant in luxor. Good food. Good people. 😃 I do not consume garlic and onions, and they were very accommodating to my request. Thank you very much, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Unique experience for Egyptian food (especially vegetarian). The food is cooked completely fresh which means it does take time (but they are very clear about the upfront).so make sure you come when you're not yet "unbearably" hungry

The vegetables and spices are great and a big group of us enjoyed everything we ate.

Wannas (owner) was very friendly and accommodating. It felt more like home food than that of a restaurant. He remained patient though we were a group of,10 and beleive me took us a while to decide what we wanted to order

The art is also impressive ?! Especially the Sufi ones.

The food is excellent. Prices are very reasonable and the art gallery is amazing! They also provide a very good quality wifi. They have vegeterian and vegan food.

Ate here most of the days I was in Luxor, I’m not vegetarian but love the veggie dishes they had were delicious - tried the cauliflower and the aubergine tagine and the onion soup.
I also liked that they had fresh teas which is not that common around here.
The atmosphere is also different, quiet, artsy and friendly.

Best food we have had in the west bank and we had food there twice. It takes a little longer for the food to be prepared as all food is made fresh by the owner and tasted amazing. Highly recommend trying their lentil soup and their aubergine - the Wannas way, both are very delicious. There are also local contemporary art pieces hanging all around the cafe, which is very cute.

Nice place run by nice people. It’s great to see a vegetarian restaurant in the area with lots of vegan options too!

Food is good. The fried cauliflower is just amazing. Really good - I need the secret recipe!!
Also really enjoyed the baked sweet potato mash dish.

Also, the Turkish coffee is so good

Had a fantastic Egyptian dinner at Wannas, probably my favorite meal in Egypt so far. The Moussaka, curried cauliflower and lentil salad were fantastic. The staff were super friendly, and we ate outside on the patio enjoying the music on the speaker. I highly recommend this place, especially for vegetarians!

The owner and the staff are very welcoming and warmth hearted! Totally worth to cross the Nile to dine in! 💜

A delicious vegetarian restaurant!!!

Incredible food and art gallery! I got the aubergine wanna’s way and highly recommend it. We took the ferry over from the East bank, it was easy to walk there. Thank you for a lovely evening!

We loved the food and the service at this restaurant. Our waiter was super helpful, and they all speak English. We also loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. They both have outdoor and indoor seating. Food was delicious and it's also great value for your money. We would love to visit again! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! We tried many different meals and they were all delicious, (white beans salad!) prepared with fresh ingredients, with an abundance of colour, herbs and texture and perfectly seasoned. Turkish coffee is also great. Nice place to hangout. Sahid is a great chef and absolutely lovely! Bonus , the wifi was the best in town for sure!

Hidden gem 💎 in Luxor west bank. The food and the atmosphere are really something. Saïd makes the food on demand, last minute, with seasonal and fresh ingredients. You can feel and taste the positive attention he puts in his recipes. I tried the fried cauliflowers, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes/onions salad the first day. Excellent. So I went back for the shakshouka and zucchini salad, both to die for, on the second day. They have also temporary art exhibitions and permanent art on their walls. Very cool. Finally, the cats are super cute and sweet. Don’t miss it!

The first and possibly only vegetarian/vegan restaurant in Luxor. Came here twice, both times enjoying my experience and food a lot. If I had more time I'd return for more of their vegetarian delights. Make sure you try the sweet date drink for dessert! The vibe and decor is very different to normal restaurants and I will try to be back here soon for food and good times! 💛

This restaurant is run by a super passionate home cook. The food is superb. The 3 dishes I highly recommend is the shakshuka, the bean salad, and anything with eggplant.

The best vegetarian food you will have in Egypt! So delicious, it's all made to order. Fresh & very flavorful. And the meals were served in the most beautiful dishes! We kept coming back for the food & amazing hospitality from the staff.
The owner Sayed is incredibly kind, we truly enjoyed spending time with him and Abdo (and Hommus the kitten)! You will see beautiful art in the restaurant and gallery, from local & international artist along. If you like animals, you will love the cats roaming around the place.
I suggest you try Wannas, even if not vegetarian. Go in for a treat & leave with a full heart ❤
