Nile Compound

Away from the hussle and bustle from east bank/downtown Luxor this gem is perfect for our trip. Located 15 minutes from the valley of the kings and the ferry across to Luxor city. Priceless breakfast by the pool. Super friendly staff. Could use a sign outside as we arrived in our rental car after dark. Friendly neighbour's came to the rescue after asking them directions. Without asking for a tip unlike the guys in downtown Cairo asking for money for "watching" our car in a free public parking spot. But that's all in the game.

True gem! Nice staff, beautiful view, particularly tidy and cozy rooms. Food is excellent also. The place is in the middle of a rural scene of Luxor, which is quite an experience. The city downtown is still approachable from here if you need more adventures.

A beautiful place in the Westbank. Located a bit outside of the center and therefore very quiet. The pool is nice if you want to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The staff is super friendly and helps you organize your trip.

We loved our stay át the Nile Compound. It is located at a relatively remote part of the town, but do not get fooled. The property has all that you need with pool, garden and roof terrace! The staff and the owners are exceptionally nice and caring. We got perfect help to get to the city that included the taxi and ferryboat through the Nile. The dinner was made inhouse and one of the tastiest we tried!:)

Great hidden hotel with extremely friendly staff, clean rooms, and a cute pool. Recommended!

It is a lovely place where you feel very welcomed. The pool area is nice, food is great, the rooms are quite big and clean. The only things missing are shower gel and shampoo but other than that it is a really nice place to stay for a couple of days.

Difficult to access. But very nice garden, breakfast is delicious!
Good if you want true experience of luxor West Side 😄

I think this is only one snd best of Garden Compond Hotel at West Bank of Luxor.
The overall 4 days stay was fantastic, the compoud staff were very friendly, especially the Owner Mr. Mahmoud. Mahmoud and his lovely wife spend more 15years in this compound, brought lots of ideas from German, even the first 8 years didn't serve any guest to be able to create this beautiful garden with variance of plants.
The Nile river view and night compound view are nice, you will feel like staying not at Egypt.
Also the stay was peace and quiet, you will enjoy the stay at this beautiful Garden.
Also the distance to Valley of King and Valley of Queen are very close, I have more rest than tranvelling from East Bank.

We stayed here, sadly for only one night as we couldn't find the place 😬 there is no sign. But persevere , because the place is lovely. Trees and flowers around the courtyard, nice pool and a balcony overlooking the Nile. Lovely breakfast too. West bank Luxor is the poor relation to the East , but the agriculture and lack of tourist development combine to give a low key authentic feel. As per instruction...... It is pretty much opposite the Steigenberger across the river.........you just need to be able to see where the Steigenberger is !!!

Spacious rooms with nice bathrooms. Staff very accommodating and excellent breakfast. Flower hedges and flowers trellised overhead very quiet except for doves cooing and other birds.

We had a pleasant stay in the Nile Compound and very much enjoyed the peaceful and quiet atmosphere in the hotel. Amazing rooftop and backyard. Very friendly staff. However, car/taxi to East Bank required, it’s a little remote.

Why it was excellent? Everything!
-Facilities are absolutely mermerizing. Quiet and tranquil. Privileged view of the Nile from our room as well as from the rooftop garden. The rooms are spacious, clean, true to the pictures, thoughfully decorated and well equipped. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool is kept pristine.
-The compound works also as restaurant for the guests and everything is cooked on the spot. Make sure not to miss their breakfast!
-Service and attentiveness. All staff were nice and attentive. Specially Mohsin, he is the absolute kindest. He arranged everything for us, tours, transfers and everything else we needed during our stay.
-The location is a bit of a drive from the ferry stop but the compound can arrange options easily to move around.
Overall a pleasant and unexpected surprise hidden by the Nile in the west Bank.

Absolutely outstanding place.
It is peaceful, relaxing and really really enjoyable. The rooftop is perfect for some early breakfast or even a yoga session for those who understand my words. They also offer nice fresh food and they grow their own veggies in the Nile view garden. The owner and the staff are kind and always here to help. Perfect stay and I hope to come again one day.

What an absolute gem! This place has the most beautiful rooftop views of the Nile valley and the suites are spacious, very clean and tastfully decorated. The staff is also very helpful and most speak English. It takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to the river taxi for crossing to the east side where the temples of Luxor and Karnak are. So if you prefer a more central location this may not be it. However, if you value peace, tranquility and beauty this is your place!

Best place in Luxor, located in a very quiet area.
Very fresh with lots of shade, perfect to relax after a tour. Big swimming pool. Good breakfast. Very clean place, inside and outside the room.
The staff and owner are all very gentil and kind and treat me like family. Mahmoud, the owner, even gave me pills for my sore throat what was great.
They have two amazing rooftop were you can seat to see the sunset or the sunrise and watch the ballons rise.
They have a tuc tuc available for take you or pick you up were you want. The surroundings are amazing, in a very genuine place, were you can see childrens playing, and the people working in the fields. Its also a very safe.
I really recomend this place to anyone. I loved to be here. Only wish to had more time to Stay longer.

Very good value for money. Rooms were clean, staff was awesome and helpful. Views from the roof were great and it was out of the busy areas so you can relax. The rooms do get cold since there is no heat but that's easily negated by everything else offered. Make sure to have cash because there is no cards accepted here. We had a great time and will be returning.

Very clean, nice accommodation with pool and rooftop to watch the sunset. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed the stay and the food here very much!

We had an amazing time at the Nile compound in Luxor. The team is great and does everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We fell in love with the great view you have from the rooftop, the pool & the silence and especially the food that was prepared for us. It is truly a magnificent place and I can just recommend it to everyone who's planning a trip to Luxor. Everybody was helpful no matter if it was about the organization of activities or just simple thing such as printing your flight ticket 😅 perfect place to relax and enjoy egypth.

Excellent stay, we hope to come back ! Hotel team is great, very helpful. Nice place with garden and swimming pool. Safe environnement, close to Nile and fields. Possibilty to order taxi or mini van. Excellent location to visit the temples around Restaurant with a lot of very good dishes. Excellent breakfast.
