Bob Marley Peace Hostel

A hostel that more than deserves its score. It looks small from the outside but it is quite big and comfortable with five floors. It was the cleanest among the hostels I saw. The owner is quite friendly and sincere. After checking out, we used the hostel until our bus time. If you are coming to Luxor, stay here, it will be the best quality accommodation you can make with a low budget.Thank u for everything 🇪🇬❤

Mohamed was incredibly helpful and generous in booking me a private room! This review is rather late, as I was in Luxor in April during Ramadan; however, I still remember my time there fondly. He picked me up from the mini bus station late at night, which was incredibly helpful. The hostel is in a great location and has a nice outdoors space at the end of the road. I got to hang out with some of the neighbors and fortunately, Mohamed booked me for a tour of the Luxor sites on the west bank of the Nile. Hopefully, I will be able to come again in the future :)

Mohammad has got to be the most helpful and genuinely kind local I've met in my travels across Egypt. If you're thinking of doing anything during your time in Luxor, definitely run it by him to see how much you should be paying for it.

While the rooms do leave a little to be desired in terms of decor, they have all the functionality one needs for their base while traveling the city.

I recently stayed at the Bob Marley hostel in Luxor and I was extremely impressed with my experience. From the moment we arrived, Omar greeted us with kindness and made us feel welcome. The price of the hostel was very reasonable, especially considering all of the amenities that were included. The rooftop was a great place to relax and take in the stunning residential views. They also served a delicious breakfast, which was a nice bonus. The bedroom was spacious and had all of the basics we needed. However, I would recommend bringing your own towel and a pair of slippers for the bathroom as the shower and toilet share the same floor, which can get a bit wet. Despite this minor detail, our stay at the Bob Marley hostel was fantastic. Omar was an amazing host and he even organized our trips throughout Luxor and other services for us. Overall, I highly recommend the Bob Marley hostel to anyone visiting Luxor. They are great hosts and the value for money is unbeatable.

Great, clean, nice rooftop, friendly and helpful employees. Booked our balloon flight and cruise via them and they helped every step of the way. So nice!

One thing they should improve is that it was cold sleeping at night in December. Asking for extra blankets wasn't appreciated, but they gave them. Sleeping comfortably is a basic necessity, this should be made easier!

Still, a very great hostel, especially for Egypt!

Excellent hostel, way way nicer and cleaner than it looks in the pictures, pictures may be a little old. My first 5 star review in Egypt, the owners Mohammed and Omar are amazing and extremely helpful and honest when asked questions, allowed me to hang out and use the facilities after checking out whilst waiting for my train and even provided tea and coffee. Room can be a little noisy during the day but quietens down after midnight, overall was a very comfortable stay,

Best hotel for the price we’ve had in Egypt. The staff is nice and can book for you good tours. The rooftop is really cozy and you can meet there other travellers or just relax.

Colorful place! Me and my group stayed here for 2 nights. Terrace part is really nice to sit and enjoy warm Egypt nights. You can meet very interesting travelers here. The atmosphere was warm and lovely. Would recommend and stay again!

This hotel was a safe haven for me during my stay in Egypt. It was the cleanest, most professionally run accommodation establishment I visited across all 3 cities I visited. The staff was amazing at providing direction, advice, support, and accommodating my every need. The price point was perfect and the location was also on point, as it is ideally situated a short walk from the train station, the Souk and Luxor Temple. But I cannot stress enough that beyond being kept so nicely clean (up to Western standards), the staff was comprised of such kind, helpful people whom really brightened up my day. And some of my days were tough because it is hard being a solo female traveler who gets cat-called or singled out every few seconds anywhere she goes. The staff was very insightful and consolatory when I was distraught, and they ensured my comforts were taken care of. It was truly a place where I felt, for once, I could trust that I was cared for without being taken advantage of in the end. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Such a wonderful experience and well-run hotel. Also, their tour services offered all the sights you might wish to see, at such an excellent price. And my guide happened to be superb, with a shining personality!

Lovely place with kind staff and flexible. They give good information about tours, and they also help organize them for a very good price.
They are well located.
The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The terrace on the roof provides good atmosphere. The breakfast is alright.
They have laundry service for a small fee. Wifi is available on almost all the rooms but works best by the reception.

It's close to the train station, only 5 mints walking distance. We can take a mini van ( only 1 pound) or taxi easily from the main road. The stuffs are all very helpful and friendly! They gave me some advice which helped a lot. And I dropped a bag when I left Luxor, they sent it back to me through the bus! I am so grateful for that! The hotel arrange one day tour with good price and good quality! Our tour guide Aladdin is a nice guide with great humor! And he is also recommended by lonely planet! When we left Luxor, the stuffs helped us arrange a taxi in a good price! If I go back to Luxor one day, this still my first option to stay!

Best choice in Luxor for budget travellers. I stayed last year and came again. They moved to a new building since then and everything is new and shining. There's a nice terrace where small but nice breakfast is served. Wifi is working, shower is hot, fan is strong, staff is very nice. You can book all your tours and balloons from here.

Great hotel and excellent value. The staff is very friendly and full of knowledge. Rooms were clean and showers were hot (or cold, you decide). They offered several tours at reasonable prices. As long as you are not expecting the Ritz Carlton at this price, you will be happy.

We didn't stay there as we had already other hotel booked, but a friend recommended us to check there tours as the price was really good. We called them and they gave us excellent price for the hot balloon air, they arranged the pick up for us in our hotel and we got an excellent experience. The communication and service was excellent. I don't know how is the hotel as we did not stay or even see it but I totally recommend to book the tours through them, they saved us a lot of money with an excellent service.

Everything was excellent. The room was spacious and very clean, the beds comfortable, there was a/c and a ceiling fan. My friend and I booked a private room with a bathroom. Although the bathroom wasn't in the room it was next to it so there was no problem and it was very clean. The service is very good and they offer guided yours for a good price. The internet is fast and the breakfast delicious, I recommend it.
One of the highlights of the hotel is it's chillout area at the rooftop. It's a spacious place, with a cool decoration where you can socialise and drink something.it's very close to the train station and the Luxor temple (10 min walking) so there's no need for taxi. There are also nice places to eat nearby. I totally recommend this hostel! It's great!

A really relaxed hostel located about 10mins walk from the train station. The staff are awesome. Mohammed gave some local tips on where to buy some good cane juice and how much to pay for it too. Room was comfortable and showers good. The rooftop is the highlight. The internet struggled at peak time. Good value for money.

Bob Marley hostel is a great place to stay in Luxor. Close to the train station, local shops and resteraunts, and a 5 minuet walk to Luxor temple. It is set down a quiet road off a larger main road.
The staff are very helpful with great advice to help you enjoy your stay, fun and easy to get along with, they also speak English very well.
Breakfast while we stayed consisted of soft bread batons, omelette, cheese, cucumber and tomato with a variety of jam honey butter teas and juices.
The room was very clean and if you like it can be cleaned and towels changed during your stay, the downstairs sitting and breakfast area is spread out and comfortable with information and art on the walls.
There is a roof terrace that is also large with plenty of seating, a great place to have long chats with fellow travellers form all over the world.
To sum up, I would definitely recommend Bob Marley hostel for your Luxor stay.

Good value for money! Don't expect anything fancy or a view of the nile, however for the money paid, it's a great value! The staff is so friendly and helpful. I booked the single room with a shared bathroom. The room was so clean and it has a king size super comfy bed. The bathroom was always clean, so there was no issue with sharing.
