Venus Hostel

The hotel is very good, located near the Nile river in a rather popular area near the main markets. There's plenty to do and see and eat around it and getting around the city from here is very good. The rooms are clean and my friend and I had no issues with the room we were in. We did use data, so I don't know how the wifi is. They will try to charge more for bringing you to the sites on the West Bank, but renting a microbus is much cheaper. If you pay with Egyptian pounds they will ask for more for the fees to exchange it to dollars as a heads up but it's not a scam. I definitely feel this place is worth the stay! The location and cleanliness alone make it well worth the stay.

Lovely family run guest house centrally located near the Nile and Luxor temple. The room comes with a great breakfast and if you have an early start they’ll happily accommodate you. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. We would stay here again.

We spent only one night here but we had a good experience. The manager was very welcoming and invited us for a drink and for their Ramadan breakfast with the family. Clearly not usual in Egypt, where most of the people around are constantly trying to rip tourists off.
The room was clean and in good conditions, only lacking of some ventilation (some mold in the roof).

A great place to stay. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The whole place is kept spotlessly clean. Our room was light and bright with a little balcony. The location is good for Luxor Temple, the railway station and the public ferry to the West Bank. There is a nice roof terrace with tables, chairs and sun loungers where you can relax in the sun or shade. Highly recommended.

Hassan is a very hospitable host. He wants to make sure you are always at ease by sharing a cup a tea or water. The hotel is always open 24/7, nice for late arrivals, and they are quiet friendly. It is located in the center of Luxor nearby the temple and train station by walking distance. Many shops and activities nearby. The hotel is very helpful to provide good tips Oor advices on what to do around Luxor. They will also help you to organize a trip is needed. I had a great stay at Venus hotel !

Very good money value, well located nearby the Luxor temple, the market and railway. The service was very good, a good breakfast included, and they let me rest in a room after check out before my night train to Aswan. Not a luxurious hotel but a very good deal in Luxor.

I'm a seasoned traveler, having backpacked in 50+ countiees. Venus has amazing genuine staff who are heartfelt and really care about guests' wellbeing. 1. I booked a room here without researching much for a night on a non-refundable basis online. When I arrived, I toured the room and changed my mind about staying there because the hotel was older than I thought - that's completely my fault, I should have looked at photos before booking. I asked the manager Hassan if I could avoid being charged fully despite it being a non-refundable booking. Not only did he agree to only a partial payment, but he even had his staff drive me for free to another hotel I booked on the spot on my cell phone (I.e. Venus didn't receive a commission for the new hotel). 2. I booked a group tour through Venus hotel my first day in town - the price charged was very fair (and without undue overcharging/haggling). This was confirmed when I spoke to other guests on the group tour who booked it elsewhere. 3. I shopped around for other group and private tours on my following days in town. Venus was always among the cheapest options and provided generous and genuine advice without being pushy or trying to overcharge. Venus' Mo gave me his WhatsApp number and always responded to me almost instantly at all hours of the day and night, and was quick to defend me in a dispute with a group tour guide I booked through them. 4. Venus staff made lots of phone calls and spent a lot of time trying to help accommodate a complex transportation request I had. They were genuinely trying to help and be friendly, they were not focussed on maximizing their profit. 5. Lastly, they were sincere in wanting to help me enjoy my vacation - and were very welcoming when I came by one evening. I can't recommend them enough!

Clean and Comfortable for a good price. Central location a quick walk to Luxor temple/train station/boats/etc. AND The staff is the best here: every person goes out of their way to make your trip. Can’t wait to be back.

Tours, drivers, cheap incrdible food, atm, temple info, everything.
Rooms are clean and neat, with all the amenities. Really good experience in Egypt.
As a solo traveller that has been to more than 100 hostels all over the world, I can definitely recommend it as a really great place in luxor.

The Hotel is in a good location, walking distance from Luxor temple and close to the train and bus station. Most important of all, for travelers on a budget the price is very reasonable. The staff are wonderful, kind, and attentive. I’d especially like to thank Mohammed who was a big help. The rooms of course aren’t the ritz but the atmosphere and phenomenal staff are worth the very low price.

A very good quality - price relationship. The people in charge of the hotel are really gentle and make sure you are OK. Also, the rooms are really clean, specially the bathroom. The only complain would be the noise but you can expect it because the hotel it's in the center.

I had a nice time here! Ibrahim sold the Valley of the Kings and balloon ride to me. I had a great doing these activities. The owner is a nice guy also. So I made three new friends Ibrahim, Mohamed 1 and 2. Keep up the great hospitality guys! 😁

Helpful staff, convenient location for tourist attractions. Taxi ride to/from airport costs about 120EGP. Facilities were comfortable as expected. Thank you!

I had a very good stay here. Owner and staffs are very friendly and very helpful. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, breakfast is good. Walking distance to the Luxor temple, and also not far from Luxor Museum and Karnak Temple. Highly recommended!

The staff was unbelievably helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay great. They were helpful in booking trust worthy drivers, tours and giving general insights into the city and how best to enjoy it. Food and lots of delicious tea was provided when asked for and the place was comfortable and well kept.

We went to the Venus hotel to discover Louxor our own way, outside the stereotyped tourism.
The staff advised us on how to find our way and how to feel confortable in this busy and over-touristic city.
His recommendations, and the few arabic words he teaches us made a big difference and helped make our overall experience very positive.
We enjoyed the Egyptian food served at the hostel’s restaurant. We also had filling breakfast, with fresh juice and minute made omelette by the attentive chef.
The place is very busy during the late day and quiet at night and in the morning hours.
The room had a balcony from where we watched the amazing activity in the street and the souk (local market).
Going thru the “Bazar” next door, it took us 10 min to reach the Nile.
We are travelling with our dog and were happy to find people who are real dog’s lovers.
We’ll go there again !

Nice hostel with AC, delicious breakfastand very very charmy and friendy staff, they make you feel very welcome and place in a good location, just in front of Luxor temple and close to train station.

Lovely staff, really helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Looked after our bags for the day and even let us have a shower in the evening after check out.

I have stayed at the Venus Hotel many times over the past ten years. The people are friendly, the rooms are clean yet basic and it is very inexpensive to stay there. I highly recommend this hotel for the budget traveller who seeks more than a "tourist" experience.
