The beds were comfortable and our room also had a fan which helped combat the heat.

For the price, this place is really something. A great place to stay on the east bank.

Friendliest people ever! Had a great time at the hostel, Ziggy was always really kind and organized a cool sunset dinner cruise for us. Would definitely stay there again.

I stayed at Bob Marley for a couple of nights, and it was the best experience! Location is good, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I couldn’t ask for a better service. They help you book your tours, they give you very good tea and they always have a smile on their faces. Strongly recommend!

Really, really lovely backpackers' hostel with friendly staff & a chill environment only a short walk from the train station & from the Temple of Karnak. Extremely good prices. Relaxing rooftop. This is absolutely where I'll stay the next time I go back to Luxor.

My intention on my world trip is to get around at lowest budget as possible and I had a great travel experience at Bob Marley Sherief Hostel here. At first I was picked-up at the train station by Sigi to prevent me from overpriced taxi rides. My check-in with Ali (the older) was as easy as I could think. He explained in detail the options to see in and around Luxor. Payment is only in cash. Ali (the younger) took my heavy backpack upstairs and he showed me the house. The 4-bed-room has AC. The whole team that includes Mohamed too, was doing well make my three-days-stay very comfortable. They organized the cheapest tours in town and reached me how to deal with the tricks of vendors who try to make money by overpriced items and asking for Tipps. I also could prepare my own food in the kitchen. I felt always safe and comfortable. Thank you Bob-Marley-Team ❤❤❤

Ziki runs the tours throughout Luxor and after offering super reasonable prices we decided to organise us a private car to see kings valley and a felucca down the Nile with dinner. He ensured everyone was looked after and also helped us in getting a normal price for taxis. We had an excellent time in Luxor because of his work and I recommend him

Hands down, this hostel gets 10 solid gold bright stars! Everything from the location, the vibes, room space - very comfortable and safe. The facilities were good and AC worked wonderfully! Luxor was my first destination in Egypt and Mohammed went out and beyond to make sure my trip would be unforgettable and adventurous. Mohammed suggested and arranged the best and most faired priced tours for me. He did more than I could of ever asked - Mohammed truly cares and wants you to experience Luxor the right and most adventurous ways. He even took the time to make sure I was booked for a hot air balloon- even when most services were either overpricing me or just not available. I saw that as beyond excellent service but instead a true and caring guy with a good heart. As a solo female traveler, I never felt unsafe or pushed to sign up for anything. Mohammed is true in what he speaks and offers - his knowledge and passion for showing me around the city is something I will always be grateful for. Because of him, my trip to Luxor was filled with all the right and best adventures. He is a good friend and I can't thank him and the entire Bob Marley hostel team for making my first trip to Egypt an admirable one. From all the hostels I've stayed in around the world, Mohammed and his team makes Bob Marley house number one on my list. Stay here - you will learn and make inspiring friends with the entire house. If you want to explore and experience Luxor you need to contact Zygy. He will help you get around at a reasonable prices and. Meeting Zygy has been the best experience of my time in Egypt so far.

This hostel is just ace! Spacious, partly shaded roof top with a view of The Valley of the Kings. The best and cheapest tours I’ve seen in the whole of Egypt, great breakfast and someone always on hand to help.
Ps.Mahmood is a total legend and likes tea with two sugars :)
Pps. Take the sunset felucca with Captain Hassan. You can swim too if you like!

Our stay at Bob Marley Hotel was absolutely amazing. It was a one in a life time experience for us. The staff was super friendly and very helpfull. Unlike many people in Egypt, who are looking for money only, this was not the case with our friends at this Hotel. Mohamed Hasan (he‘s working there) was one of the most amazing guys we have ever met while travelling. He helped us with almost everything. He bought food and booked activities for us (you pay way less money then when you buy or book it on your own). Their only interest was to give their guests the best experience. I recommend this hotel to everybody. 11/10 points ;)

Great hostel, the staff are super friendly and will help you with anything you need. Bathrooms are okay, toilets are decent and showers are hot. Nice rooftop view of Luxor and the west bank.
Met a lot of cool people and went on some awesome tours. Also organised for a sunrise hot air balloon ride which was cheap compared to the rest of the world and also breathtaking views of the west bank and the Nile. Will definitely stay here again when I come back.

Egypt's tourist areas can be overwhelming and Bob Marley is like a slice of heaven amidst that chaos. Other places seem to harass you into tours and extra stuff. Not here! I thought that would be the case, but they laid out their tours well and were respectful if you declined.

Above everything, these guys absolutely go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable time in Luxor without spending a fortune. They have incredible local recommendations and will always find you a better deal then you could alone.

One of the hosts even saw me walking to the bus and immediately picked me up on his bike instead. Super kind of him!!

Hostel itself was comfortable, very clean, and the vibe was superb with travelers coming in and out.

It probably sounds cliche, but these guys really do treat everyone like family and with the utmost respect. Great people here. I wish I could've stayed longer! Thanks so much

Edit 2: I did one day with tours and one day without. Honestly, unless you really want to spend extra time alone in places, I'd recommend the tours. They're extremely reasonably priced, usually pretty good groups, and above all they keep other agencies from harassing you while you're around Luxor :)

Wonderful hostel. The staff are absolutely amazing, super kind. They'll help you with everything you need and make you feel very at home.
The beds are comfy and clean, with good rooms, a rooftop hangout, and plenty of places to sit around.
The bathrooms could use a little improvement (just the shower heads) but are still clean and usable :)

Read the Macedon boy review, it says everything perfectly. The Hostel is really chill, has a comfortable and welcoming style. The two places to chill, down by the entrance and the rooftop, are amazing. The rooftop for the view, and the entrance for the community style atmosphere. Also, did not feel uncomfortable keeping my stuff in the hostel.

Our stay at the Bob Marley hostel was quite pleasant! Great price and location and the staff was beyond helpful! Muhammad was so hospitable and helpful with all of our needs, he gave us great advice and helped us every step of the way!

My stay in Bob Marley House was such a special thing on my visit to Luxor. Didn't expect people would be this friendly and helpful, so it felt like home. The property is beautiful, folkloric and colourful. Cleanliness is one of the reasons why I enjoyed being there. A highly recommended experience.
