Nile Castle Guest House

Nice hotel. Decent rooms with stunning Nile view from some rooms and the roof terrace. The area looks a little sketchy at first but is totally safe in reality. Perfect location with nice cosy restaurants directly at the shore. The owner and staff are nice and really helpful.

Highly recommend this place if you are staying in Luxor!!

First of all, the location is excellent. The west bank is much more peaceful and chilled out than the East bank, so you will feel much more relaxed here. It's only a 5 minute walk from where all the ferries dock. There's a bunch of restaurants right in front by the water.

The staff are brilliant! Big shout out to the owner Mohamed, who was a star in helping organise our activities while we were there, and was just on top of everything in a very reassuring way. We organised three days of activities through him, and both the drivers and the guides went out of their way to provide excellent service.

The room itself was big and bright, and the beds were very comfortable - far and away the best room and best beds I experienced staying in egypt.

The breakfast is really nice, and the deck at the top with a view of the Nile, and Luxor temple just across the river is stunning.

I wish I could give them a higher rating that's how much I loved this place!

The view at the rooftop is incredible. The host Mohammad is friendly and helpful. We signed the day tour for West Bank and it was nice. The tour guide (Karem) is knowledgeable and fantastic.

The best hotel and the best owner.
We owe lot of thing to him. He made our holiday better. He is real good man, friendly and cultured.
Apartmant is so nice, so big, so clean. You can have breakfast with very nice Nile view.

Highly recommend to anyone in Egypt. Momo (the ownder) was great and really hooked us up with a good itenerary at a fair price. Hagag (the tour guide he gave us) was awesome and took us around the Luxor sites (I'd recommend Habu Temple) as well as Dendara (Temple of Hathor). The breakfast was included and was delicious. The location is very serene, while still be centrally located.

The rooms are even better then shown on pictures. Great location, just a short walk to the public ferry that takes you to the east bank for less than 10le (Egyptian pounds) per person. If you want a private ferry you can get one right outside for about 50le.

Had some really great talks with the owner as well, and he can also arrange both toures or recommend a good restaurant. He actually recommend a great restaurant just a few minutes from the hotel called Nubian House. What ever you're dining plans are, just go there. It's amazing!

Booked for 2 nights and Initially wasn't very sure about my decision.. However, the location, the staff, the owner, everyone is always at your service and literally go out of their way to make you feel at home. Wouldn't get into minute details, but would like to say that IF IN LUXOR, IT HAS TO BE NILE CASTLE. Thank you so much for mailing me forget everything else and remember only NILE CASTLE from my trip to Luxor. Great for couples, solo travellers, families,, friends and anyone who wants to be treated as HUMANS. Thank you Mohammed & family for making me a part of The Family.

Stop! Don’t look elsewhere Book this hotel ASAP! Make sure it is the Nile castle on the WEST BANK because there are two same name. I spent 10 days in Egypt and this was the best sleep I had the whole trip. Such a peaceful and quiet area, beds are comfy, breakfast is nice and views are great! The owner goes above and beyond for his guest and the staff especially Omar is great. This is the best value for your money in Luxor trust me. Book you will not regret it!

Momo was a fantastic host and the Nile Castle is a great place to Stay! Highly recommend! Beautiful views from the rooftop lounge. Very accommodating and many excursions available. Momo takes great care of his guests!

It was the most amazing and welcoming experience. They sent Omar to pick us up from the railway station. He took us in a cab to the river and in a boat across. We reached at 9am, but check-in was at 2pm. They gave us welcome drinks, let us relax and even let us use one of their washrooms to shower and change for the day. They quickly prepared a room for us which was a FREE Upgrade (their generosity is amazing!) to the Nile view room. By 11am they let us check in.

The next day after checkout we still had some sightseeing to do before leaving. They let us leave our luggage in their staff room. When we came to get it back, they let us use their washroom to freshen up.

All the staff were such lovely people and we would recommend this place to anyone visiting Luxor.

They did offer to arrange tours for us, but we had our own plans and we declined their offer.

We really enjoyed our time here. The hosts were super accommodating and helpful. They arranged pick ups from the train station and drop offs at the airport. It's on the west bank, so the location makes it easy to visit the valley of the kings early in the morning. There's also multiple restaurants and "bars" very close by. It's convenient because there's an ATM outside the hotel, 10min walk to public ferry, small market store next door, and good food across the street. It's also quiet, especially compared to the east side of the Nile. The wifi also worked well, something that is definitely not the norm in Egypt. The picture is from the restaurant across the road.

The hostel is spectacular, overlooking the Nile and the Luxor temple. The rooms are very clean, large and comfortable. In addition, the boss and the workers are very nice. The hostel is located on the bank of the Nile where are located the most of the temples that you will visit if you go to Luxor. I highly recommend this place :)

The best place to stay in Luxor. Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. There is a grocery and a small restaurant nearby which was very convenient. But be careful from a man outside who may offer a cheap boat ride to Banana island. It's a trap. He will ruin your day. Just about that guy. He will claim that he is very famous in Luxor, having his picture on a billboard. Yes, stay away from that man. He is very dangerous and evil.

We had a very nice stay away the Nile Castle. The team is very welcoming and very well organised. Feel free to rely on them for the organisation of your excursions, you wil be in good hands. More over, the view from the rooftop is pretty impressive.

This is the best place you can get in luxor if traveling on a budget. The rooms are clean and spacious with a stunning view of the Nile. The staff were super friendly and Helpful. We were picked from the railway station by one of their staff who carried all our luggages by himself. The rooftop dining area has a very good view of the nile. The breakfast included in the booking is very filling and delicious. They also have great menu of egyptian and Mediterranean food. Access to the other side of nile is super easy from here as there are a lot of private boats in front of the hotel whose charges are very fair.

Very nice place. Its like your home away from home.
The Rooms are clean and with lots of space.
They organize your Trips for you. Just tell them what you like to do and they take care of it.
Breakfast is served at the Rooftop Terrace with a wonderful view of the Nile and Luxor Temple.
Everybody is great from the Owner, his Brother and the Staff. All very friendly and accommodating. They will walk the extra Mile.
Will definitely come again.

We had a lovely time staying here,
a particular favorite was the roof top restaurant/views of the Nile. Everyone there was also very hospitable and helpful in regards to helping coordinate taxis and experiences. Would stay there again!

Nice place which is definitely worth the price.
Spacious rooms with ac, a fridge and fans (we had two fans in our room in addition to an ac). The bed was very comfortable and we had quite a good sleep there (better than in other places we stayed before).
The service was also great. We met the owner who speaks perfect English. He gave us some information about moving around in Luxor and he told us about different tours.
There is also a young man called Mustafa who really put an effort to make us feel comfortable. He also speaks proper English and assisted us on small matters in a very delightful way. Unfortunately the only picture I took was a picture of the delicious breakfast. I will come back if I will ever visit Luxor again.

We’ve been welcomed very warmly by Mohammed and Mustafa. The hotel is super well located, 3mn boat from Luxor temple but on the other side of the Nile, much more quiet, authentic and less touristic. The food is local, home made and very tasty, the rooms were large, clean and comfy.
The wifi is effective and stable.
We had the best experience of our whole holiday in Egypt thanks to Mustafa, who is the nicest person ever.

We have chosen a tour to Kings valley with a French speaking guide (very nice one, who let us visiting on our own pace and asking many questions), quad in the desert at sunset (Mondi the instructor was also super nice) and a boat took us to Karnak and Luxor temples to visit the sites at our own pace as well.
I recommend 1000% this hotel, no way I’ll go anywhere else if I come back in Luxor someday.
