I’m a few weeks late with this review but I couldn’t not come here to rave about not just the hotel but the service. Mahmoud is a very special soul who made me and my partner feel so cared for. I’ll never forget him offering me tea on the roof and giving me some life wisdom. Thank you for that. The hotel is in a great area- a bit out of the way and that’s how we like it. Just a 10- 15 minute walk to the ferry and just a bit less to the main strip. The rooms have everything that you need! The roof had a stunning view and breakfast was always delicious. If you’re going to Luxor to stay in a hotel and find all its flaws- you’re traveling wrong. Stay here, enjoy the view- I know you’ll love it.

I like it! Pretty well positioned, good breakfast and the staff is really nice! Maybe needs a little bit of renovation but I still think it is worth the money as you get a lot for the money!
You get a rooftop with beautiful architecture and an amazing view to all the temples and also you can enjoy amazing sunrises/sunsets!
You should try this hotel, positioned on the west bank of the Nile, 5km away from the temples and 500m to the public ferry!
Mahmud was so nice and we talked for hours with him about everything!
He’s amazing!
Enjoy

I stayed at Cleopatra Hotel Luxor for two nights with a friend. The place is situated at a convenient place, a few minutes walking distance from the public ferry dock on the west bank of the Nile. There are also unpretentious, authentic food stands and restaurants nearby. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed - it was a pleasant stay. Special praise for Mahmoud, who greeted us on our way to the hotel on the street, led us in, took care of the reception and accompanied us to our room. He was always nice to chat with and very helpful in arranging our trips to most of the ruins on the west bank in very short time, which was all we had. He also gave us useful tips on Luxor. Too bad he fell asleep in our last night and could not enjoy the koshari we got for him from the restaurant he recommended while it was warm : )

There's an absolutely breathtaking view from the hotel rooftop! The food at the hotel was always delicious (some of our favorite Egyptian meals were served at this hotel), so I recommend that you opt for the full board at the hotel. The staff, especially Mahmoud, was always attentive and friendly.
The hotel is located very close to the Nile River, which makes crossing the river a bit easier.

Mahmoud and the other guys who run this place are awesome. They’re super helpful and welcoming and did their best to make sure my female friends and I were safe and comfortable. Totally recommend! Also go to the roof top for like one of the best views of Luxor :)

Good hotel location. Clean rooms and good view. The neighbourhood is safe and accessible at late night also.

The rooftop is accessible all time and has the view of the Valley of the Kings and Nile. You can also enjoy the night Sky.

What’s missing:
- No drinking water with room. You need to buy from outside.
- No elevator, you need to use the staircase.
- Breakfast options are same. Same breakfast is served everyday. Though the food is good and the cook is very humble and friendly.
- There isn’t a fridge in every room.
- There is no telephone to call the reception. Make sure to take their mobile numbers to go down the strais if you need any assistance.

A little gem in Luxor. It's quite hard to find a decent place in the city so I didn't know what to expect. This is a great value hotel, the rooms are massive, clean and have AC. The views are amazing and I really like the style of the hotel. What stands out though is the service. The staff is really friendly and working hard to make sure you have a good time. We also arranged a taxi with them to visit the area, the service and prices are unbeatable. Highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful! Small, family run hotel - we have stayed there twice now, and it was our favourite hotel on our tour of Egypt! Reasonably priced for families, Arabic decor in the rooms, spotlessly clean, lovely breakfast on the rooftop with fabulous views across beautiful Luxor and to the Valley of the Kings. Super convenient for all the sights, bike rental 2 minutes walk away, horse riding next door - which was lots of fun! We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food - I had moussaka - was delicious. This is a true gem of a place and we will go back hopefully sometime! Thank you Cleopatra hotel!!

We stayed there 4 nights. Good value for money. Big and clean rooms, good breakfast included in the price. You can enjoy the views of king's valley from the rooftop.

The people working there were very kind and helpful.

Just 10 minutes walking from the public ferry.

Moreover, they offer very good food for a cheap price!

Room is very nice size. Desk, bed, bathroom. Breakfast is amazing, freshly cooked when you want it, while looking out at the most spectacular view. Nassar, the owner, pays special attention to his guests, making sure that everyone is enjoying Egypt. Him and staff are willing to help with any of your needs. Great place. Would stay again. In the middle of town. If you stay there make sure to visit the little bakery around the corner. Delicious. Laundry right down the street, awesome couple that runs it. Only bad thing is no elevator, so you have stairs to walk up and down the stairs.

The rooms are spacious, modern, quiet and clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful - he gave me a couple of rides to and from the ferry terminal and got my the best price for a haircut (only 1.5 euros!)

I highly recommend this hotel, it's on the perfect side of the Nile to get away from the noise and hustle of downtown Luxour and has good access to all the major attractions. The entire team is impeccable, and they are what made my stay in Luxour unforgettable. I especially want to thank Mahmod for his friendliness, availability, an excellent person who marked me for good, a very good and super professional person that I will always remember, with all my heart my big thanks for my stay in Luxor lands. Thank you Cleopatra Hotel.

This is the best budget hotel on the West Bank of Luxor, very close to the Valley of the Kings. Easy parking right beside the hotel, a bit dusty but this is Egypt. The host Mahmoud is very helpful, and a wonderful cook. We booked breakfast and dinner, they were all very tasty, especially the stewed beef. Fresh mango juice every morning is super. We stayed 6 nights in total, had a wonderful time in West Bank. WiFi is a problem, on and off, but this is typical in Egypt so I don't complain. There is horse riding stable right next door, we rode 5 days in a row. We stayed in Pavillon Winter Luxor, a 5 star hotel on the East Bank for 4 days, but we still like Cleopatra Hotel Luxor. Thanks.

This is one of the best places we've visited ni Egypt. Staff is really friendly and good hospitality. It is located in a middle of a village of Luxor west bank with so much nature around. It's really close to all the landmarks as well. I highly recommend this hotel if you wanna visit Luxor

The hotel is near the local big nile ferry stop (5Pound per person). Only a 6 min to walk very safe to walk with locals or by Tuktuk for only 30 Egyptian pounds or local bus 5pounds. Lots of friendly people around. Reception was very friendly and helpful specially Mahmoud which served us breakfast and was almost 24hours there. Also his friendly colleagues and the owner...you feel like a family member. Fair prices with breakfast for 2 person per night cost 500 egyptian pounds (usd 20$), room with balcony (Nr.112 sunset side) and with nice view to the fields and the near by Pharaohs horse and camel Stabels (they charge only 100E£=4$ per hour./horse) The Hotel is simple but has great price ratio...breakfast was simple with more view from the roof top terrace. For 500E£ = 20$ don't expect a 4 or 5 star hotel, changing towels or bedsheets daily or a big breakfast buffet..ok. Mattress are very good also very hot water...Staff are very accommodating and friendly, also its near in Laundry shop, Sawing shop Bakery, convenient store, hourse stable, outside the village you see lots of restaurant to fillup your hungry stomach at very low prices 😜 we come again. + The place is lovely and clean. The location is a bit off the main road, but it wasn't noisy from outside thanks to that. The staff was really nice. We loved the view on the Valley of the Kings/Queens while having a great breakfast on the terrace at the top of the hotel.

- The air conditioning was very noisy. We had to turn it on low temperature before going to sleep, turn it off later, and repeat it few times during the night.
