I live in Luxor with my children and have visited this hospital on a number of occasions over the years. Its in the last years had a facelift, so its new and clean. You get to see a nurse or doctor in triage quickly and they the doctors mostly speak English. I'm not sure about long term care, but for minor emergency or first call doctor, this is a ok by Egyptian standards. They sewed up my finger when i cut it open, attended to my Cellulitis when it got infected and helped my son and daughter when they had stomach infections. Do investigate what medication they give you and pay at the local counter when leaving. My treatment was professional and inexpensive and no pushy sales people like in other hospitals like Armant.

Uns überfiel beim Besuch des Verkaufsraumes ein unangenehmes Gefühl. Deshalb wollten wir uns auch nicht irgendwelchen Verkaufsbemühungen aussetzen und flüchteten schnellstmöglich nach draußen. Die dort gezeigte technische Herstellung der Alabaster-Gefässe war zwar interessant und soll schon vor 3000 Jahren so abgelaufen sein. Uns interessierten aber vielmehr die zahlreichen Kinder, die in dem unübersehbaren Schmutz herumtollten, und sich gegen ein Trinkgeld gerne fotographieren liessen.
