Avenue of Sphinxes or The King’s Festivities Road , also known as Rams Road (Arabic : طريق الكباش) is a 3 km long and about 75 m wide avenue, which connects Karnak Temple with Luxor Temple, have been uncovered in the ancient city of Thebes, with sphinxes and ram-headed statues lined up on both flanks.

The Sphinx Avenue extends for 2.7 km connecting Luxor temple to Karnak temple. Wear a comfy shoe and enjoy the walking cutting through the beautiful city of Luxor

It is a road that is more than 3,500 years old and has a length of 2.7 miles and a width of about 250 feet, connecting the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple, and it was discovered in the ancient city of Thebes (in the city of Luxor today), where the Sphinx statues and statues with the head of a ram are lined up on both sides
On November 25/ 2021, Egypt opened the Rams Road to the public in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the city of Luxor amid great fanfare after it completed the restoration work that took more than seven decades.

Beautiful avenue connecting Luxor and Karnak temples. It is the main avenue in the old Luxor where all activites used to take place. A state of art more than 3500 years old.

Stunning. Imagining walking this stretch thousands of years ago between the temples with sphinxes either side is awesome.
