Hurghada International Airport

Amazing place very well arranged every body ready to help. New building. In the middle of the city. You can see all hurghada when going there.

We went in holiday in Egypt and we flew to Hurghada International Airport. Was a nice experience. They have a lot of security checks point and this is a good way to protect the people. If you want to buy cigarettes very cheap you can buy from duty free. The airport is modern and clean.

The airport is located inland, 5 km (3 miles) southwest of the downtown of the city of Hurghada (El Dahar district). It serves Hurghada, the center of Red Sea Governorate of Egypt, seaport city Safaga and a lot of amazing Red Sea beech and aquatic sports resorts: Al Quseir, Sharm El Naga, El Gouna, Al-Mahmya, Soma Bay and Makadi Bay.

Good passage through with minimal fuss, visa was easy to obtain just pay £45 English pounds for 2 adults and you are on your way, baggage hall was very quick, plenty of taxis outside. Pay in English pound as you get a better rate, we went to bellagio in el gouna for £10

Nice and clean airport. Too small but you can find coffee, water and snacks inside and outside. Prices are about 30egp/ small water, 30 egp hot tea, 35 egp espresso etc.

Very nice clean story, small domestic terminal. Only took me 15 minutes to get to my gate. You probably only need to arrive an hour before your departure

Apart from the fact you have to show your passeport every 50 meters, this a fairly good airport. it took us only 30mn from the taxi to the gate, despite two bagage check, immigration, bagage drop, check in.... The place is clean, shops prices are reasonable, food is OK, plane was on time. What else do you want ?

The AirPort is clean and big, it wasn't crowded when i was here in February,
The first checkin tough, they check everyone's baggage piece by piece, very restricted customs control..

But Egyptians in general are nice people who serve you well. Everywhere you go you'd make friends and have a laugh with someone.

The most time i laughed in my traveling was in Egypt.

I came back to Hurghada after many years and I must say that a lot has changed. The airport is very large, modern, with very nice staff. A big plus of air conditioning!

A small, simple airport, ideal since most of the flights here are charter flights. It is very recommended to try to negotiate prices in duty free also. Follow the airport indications and you should be fine and in no-time ready to board your plane as well.

Super friendly staff and easy way of exchanging currency. Also please be aware of taxi fares to your hotel, as they’re super expensive.

No complaints. Yes a lot of checking and my backpack was checked twice, but everything went fast enough. After we reached our gate we found clean toilets (with water), shops, food corners.

As usual I have to have assistance at the airport! Here at Hurghada International the special assistance provided surpasses any airport I have ever been at!
As soon as I hobbled in a lovely chap practically ran over to us with a wheelchair! ✅
He then assisted us through first security check & check in &

got our oversize bag through for us (portable Walker wheelchair) ✅
Completed our immigration forms ✅
Then through more security checks and bag search ( I had a lighter confiscated as you can only have one 😂)
And delivered us to the coffee shop in the departure lounge✅

Never felt the need to Tip at the airport but our man was well rewarded!

I only used the airport for landing and then coming home. When you went through to departure there was smoking areas for those of us who smoke which I thought was a good idea as you're not going to be able to have one once you board your plane.
Most of the staff were nice. They just did their jobs.
It was nice & clean what I saw off of it.

You really go through a lot of security here. Put all the souvenirs in the luggage case not cabin cases because they don't allow some like spices and tea. Although great place to go duty-free shopping while you wait.

Safe and secure, as many Airports in the world, security checks before check-in and after passport control are applied as an international standards for passengers safty during gates waiting time and while boarding, experinced this in many Airports. Wished to extend the check-in time to be early so we can have more time to visit more shops at duty free.

Totally different system of checking in, security checks, passport control but lovely airport....clean!

i love it because you can be picked up if airports never existed then we can never get of a air plane
