HODHOD SOLIMAN HOT Air Balloon Rides Luxor Egypt

Well organized and safety first. First try was canceled due to wind, refund or reschedule were offered. I chose to reschedule, next day we were able to ride. Amazing views of Luxor and the Nile. Very smooth landing. There were about 32 people, the basket is divided in eight sections with 4 people per section. Within minutes of landing the buses were waiting to transfer us back to our hotel. By 8:30 am I was back in my hotel for the next adventure! Yousri assisted us, he was very nice and helpful.

Yousry was our guide, he was great! From the transfer from the hotel, explaining what to do in the air, and the boat ride back to the hotel it was a great experience. We had Captain Osman and he was very informative and professional.

We bought the video they shot before and during the flight. Unfortunately they sent us the wrong video of another group or flight, hopefully they will send us the right video. They have been notified
They were comments by other travelers that the basket was overcrowded. My experience was different. We had 12 people in our basket. Having said that, I believe that particular basket is meant for up to 20 people, in my opinion that would be overcrowded. So before booking, make sure of the number of people on your flight.

I have taken two Hot Air Balloon trips with Hod Hod Soliman in Luxor, Egypt. Once in October 2022 and again in March 2023. Both times have been phenomenal. My pilot for both flights was Omar and he was awesome. He picked me up from the hotel early that morning and we traveled by boat to the West Bank. The flight up above the Valley of the Kings in the balloon was something I’ll never forget. Spectacular views, friendly pilot, amazing sunrise. I know I will be back in Luxor, Egypt one day and I will probably do the hot air balloon for a third time.

Taking a hot air balloon ride with HodHod Air Balloons in Luxor was like stepping into a dream. Ali, our skilled pilot, guided us as the sun rose over the Nile's West Bank, offering stunning views. His smooth landing amazed us.

Excellent! I called the number on the website at 4:30am when our scheduled company didn’t show up, and got lucky to not only have the call answered but with a positive response and excellent service. My husband, 10 year son and I were picked up by the pilots themselves who were incredibly kind and gracious, and also spoke excellent English. We were in the crew van, as we hopped on last minute with hopes of getting a spot. Everyone was super nice and genuine. And luckily they got spot for us on the sunrise tour and charged us normal rate.

Captain Omar was our pilot, and we were so lucky as he’s extremely skilled at maneuvering and the landing was incredibly smooth! It was our first experience on a hot air balloon and I want to thank the entire team for making it a memorable and sweet one! The views are amazing!

The staffs all are kind and friendly without forcing you giving tip. But of course we contributed still as you can see it needs a lot of coordination behind for the ride. The captain Omar is really professional, we had a smooth flight and amazing view for sunrise!

Hassan was extremely friendly and accommodating and helped us throughout the trip. The experience was very smooth and pleasant and we couldn’t find a better company and person for our hot air balloon trip in Luxor!

An experience not to be missed!

The early morning call @ 4am to get to enjoy this amazing experience is a small price to pay. Hodhod is one of pioneer companies to run jot air ballon rides over the Valley of the Kings & their safety record is impeccable. Our balloon of multicolored hues was the most beautiful in the air. The balloon takes 32 pax divided into compartments for 4 persons. Sounds like a lot of people but when you’re in the air - it’s not noticeable. The views are to die for & our captain & crew were reassuring in their professionalism & calm demeanour. The heat from the flames can be a little disconcerting at the start as you think your hair is being fried! But the majesty of the land & sites below soon take precedence of any other thoughts! Hodhod handled everything so well - from pick up to drop off, an excellent experience!

Amazing experience. Had my Hot Air Balloon trip on the last day of my visit to Egypt. This was arranged with the help of Ramadan. Thanks very much for making this happen for me and the family. 10/10

I frankly didn’t expect it to be as amazing as it was. From the super friendly tour operator Mohamed Fawzy who picked us at the hotel, to the bus driver Abdallah, to Bakr the pilot who greeted us at the motor boat ( btw you are offered self serve free tea in disposable cups there ) and was very patient explaining the safety measures to my young kids ( 8 and 11, and asking us all the show him the safety movements in case needed) and gave us an impeccably smooth landing, to the great photographer/ videographer Islam and Khaled who were capturing all the moments throughout which was super helpful so not only one can enjoy the ride undistracted taking photos etc, but also my kids pose for others but don’t like me taking their photos 🙁 was such a lovely add on (optional usb for purchase , arrives to your hotel after the tour with the entire video and all photos for a very reasonable price ($ less than $30), we live in the USA and at this price this doesn’t give you just a couple of photos by an equally professional photographer. I truly recommend this ride and most of all the company which runs it - HOD HOD , has a very safe ride record over the years, masks are mandatory once people are a bit closer while still open air in the balloon basket , safety is an important factor for our family when choosing activites and this company takes safety very seriously I was really impressed with that. Will sure try it again next time with my husband who was unable to make it this time. So looking forward to another chance to redo it. Thanks to HOD HOD, amazing crew, including all the ground team , over 10 who were helping us take off and land . Took the sunrise tour , around 45 mins on the balloon ride itself , but total around 3 hours from pick up to drop off. A must see and do if your get a chance.

Excellent balloon ride company. The flight team are very experienced and Captain Ali flew us lower than others over the archaeological site so we could get excellent photos. I would highly recommend

Wonderful hot air ballooning experience in Luxor whilst travelling through Egypt. Easy to organise via WhatsApp with seamless pick up. There is a bit of a lame hand holding, smile for the camera arrangement before you board but it doesn’t go long and the flight over Valley of the Kings completely makes up for it

Amazing experience from start to end. Everyone there was very professional and friendly. On the day, they picked us up from the hotel at 4:45am on the dot (we stayed at Iberotel, closet hotel to the ferry boat to the hot air balloon site at the West Bank). We were the second balloon to take off on the day, out of the 20 balloons that day. We had 55 minutes of air time, went to up to 2500 feet. The pilot Amr was good. We saw everything they promised. Safety first all the time. The passenger van picked us up at the landing spot (can be anywhere depending on wind). So efficient in this process with no time wasted. Back to the hotel around 7:45am. The whole experience in air was magical - saw the valley of the kings, the Nile oasis, and the sunrise. Tips for other travelers - careful of some balloon companies with not enough balloons. We saw one company that flew the balloon twice the same day. 1st time at 5am and 2nd time around 7am, which missed the sunrise and only in air for 15 minutes. This is because Luxor airport only gives the hot air balloon air space until 8am every day for safety reasons. We felt so bad for the tourists in the second take-off time... waited for a long time with not enough air time.

A very good experience, the compnay is recommendable. They communicate via what’s app, they picked us up on time and drop us on time. Very enjoyable experience. Their price is standard tourist price, I couldn’t find any compnay lower priced as a tourist.

Im speechless, everything was amazing the crew, the view and sure the pilot. I heard from people experience from before the landing is hard of any balloon but captain Omar make it the smoothest landing i have ever see. The view was mind blowing highly recommended. They also take video of the whole trip. Thanks to Ramdan, Omar, Yusry and all the crew.
