Keila (In german: Kegel) is a small town and nice little place in Harju located 25 km southwest of Tallinn.

The development of Keila took a turn with the establishment of the Tallinn-Paldiski railway in 1870.

Keila officially became a town on 1 May 1938.

After the railway to Keila was built, the place became known — as a pun — as Kegelbahn. Keila has a station on the Elron rail line.

Keila is also the location of administrative buildings of the surroundings, and rural municipality separate from the town itself.

There is also a memorial stone for the deportations of Estonians to Sibiria that took place during 1941 and 1949.

Keila station has important monument from 2ww times nearbuy the station for Estonian massadeportation naar Siberie managed buy Soviet Unie. More than 10 000 people were deported. "Märtsiküüditamine",(Check the picture.) Historical and very unique watertower system, and plenty of wooden architecture dated before 2 ww. Couple of brewerys, enough of wild nature. Historical museum. All worth of visiting.

Кейла - небольшой провинциальный город. Здесь есть торговые центры, кафе, бары, строительные магазины, бассейн и даже фонтан. Добраться до Таллинна можно как на автобусе, так и на электричке. Очень зелёный и хорошо облагороженный город.
