In 2019 My husband and I, Rafus Smith traveled from the United States to the birthplace of my grandfather Lars Österlin. Our ancestors had lived as Coastal Swedes on this island for hundreds of years. Many of my ancestors are buried in the cemetery here and were baptized in St. Olav’s church. It was the trip of a lifetime and I hope to return. My cousin Arne Larsson coordinated the trip and we stayed at Elle-Mall’s. She was a wonderful host. Her cooking was amazing and her husband and daughter were very friendly as well. The accommodations were more than adequate. Elle-Mall is knowledgeable of the area and helped us out with a private tour of the church. I would strongly recommend staying here. Vormsi is a beautiful island.

Nice place and friendly people.
We went with 12 people for one night. There's a sauna, tv and you can have a barbecue outside. Main building has bedrooms on the first (2x2 people) and second (2x3 + 1x2 people) floor. Furthemore, a small shop is only 800 meters away. You can also buy local jam etc from them.
We also had breakfast (eggs; sandwiches with fresh cucumber, tomatoes, basil ham; yoghurt; jam; Kellogg's; coffee; porridge).

I really enjoyed the place. Felt like travel back in time and everything was simple and clean.
I stayed in the main house in a cosy single room.
