Endless, rich, steaming hot coffee that's made from actual beans and not nescafe. Delicious food, with some North American touches, bagels, real bacon, maple syrup! Quinde Huayco is the best breakfast in Baeza and probably all of Ecuador!

Our stay was great. Luis is a character and gave us lots of helpful tips for adventuring around town. TONS of birds!

“Coffee! Clean! Birds! Hike!” Four days in Baeza, Ecuador, four breakfasts with Luis. He makes us an Ecuadorian breakfast: rice, beans, meat, salad and REAL coffee that gets us through a full day of paddling the areas rivers. In his former life Luis drove a truck in New Jersey, so he speaks very good English, keeps his restaurant clean and understands good customer service. Added bonus: views, bird watching, and a very nice hike up to the towers above town for a view of Volcan Reventador!
