Casa Marina Beach Resort

After reading a lot of reviews online, I was skeptical about staying at this resort, however, my fears were put to rest once I arrived. The check in process was quick and painless, although it did take me about 20 minutes to locate my room, and I did have to haul my luggage up four flights of stairs; but those things are minor inconveniences. I give the rooms a 4/5 only because the one shower head didn't work, but the handheld one did, and put out great pressure!! The rooms are clean, the beds are super comfortable, and the mini fridge is always well stocked. So overall, not a lot to complain about there. The service so far has been incredible!! The buffet is yummy, and has everything you could want. I give the location a 3/5 only because it is right in the heart of Sosua, so coming back from an excursion takes a long time. And I understand that I'm right in the city, but that's my only complaint. Otherwise, I do recommend this resort for couples, singles and families.

Great place to take a vacation at a beautiful location. Yes your toilet may get plugged but they will come fix it nothing out of the ordinary. The food is really good. The people are really good. The town is incredible and the price is really good. I highly recommend casa marina and all it's paradise has to offer. if you're a complainer, then nothing will help make you happy! if you're in between the age of 20 and above and knows how to enjoy paradise you will have a blast I promise. I had a fantastic time I will be going back!

Rooms are clean, food is great for resort food - lots of options for vegetarians. We had hot water for the entire trip and showers are really nice. Our upgrade to Ocean view was definitely worth it! Ocean side pools (jacuzzis) are super beautiful and open all night. There’s on site entertainment and activities available all day. I recommend checking out the Aqua Centre and trying the discovery scuba diving course if you’ve never tried scuba diving, it was a great experience and was available on some of the rainier days. Hotel staff are friendly and attentive, even more so with some incentive ($). Resort is in the heart of Sosúa so there’s lots to do and explore in the little town even if you don’t pack your trip with excursions. Less than a 10 min walk from Sosúa beach and the market, on site beach isn’t always accessible if the weather is bad due to massive waves and a small beach. Huge resort with lots to do. 10/10 recommend.

Can only speak to the Select side of the resort but the location is phenomenal (right in town & short drive to the airport & located on a nice bit of beach), service is great with many of the same very friendly and helpful staff since before COVID

This isn't a resort for 24 hour partying but if you're looking for a relaxing quieter resort with excellent service this is a winner. We've been multiple times and will definitely be back

Our expectations were met based on the price we paid. This is not a upscale luxury resort where the rich splash their money around. This resort provides an excellent experience for ordinary folks like us.

Temperature was always more than 35C.

Very nice place during the week.
Food is very good with a lot of choice.
The staff is very polite and friendly.
My room was cleaned daily and the bed was very comfortable.
A1 service.

The views are really nice, especially at night.

Unfortunately, the place feels like a zoo when the locals arrive for the weekend from fridays afternoon to sunday afternoon.

Hundreds and hundreds of children screaming and crying with no parental intervention.

They throw their trash on the ground.
They make a mess in the buffet.
I've seen one throw a drink to a waiter's face because he didn't like it.

I still recommend this place despite this.

This place is awesome and beautiful. People are great too. Bring your own WiFi, it's not very dependable and spotty. It's a lively atmosphere and scenically appealing. It's something in coming back too for the next vacation to come.

Wonderful, very peaceful. Right along a reef and the beach was everything. The staff were super friendly

The resort was amazing. All of the staff were great except one. Victor was slow and worried about playing on his phone too much instead of serving and helping customers at the bar. The cleaning staff was excellent!
The front desk staff was amazing, and always helpful, and The food was good. They have 3 la carts to choose from for you on the adults-only side which is where I was and would recommend to anyone. Well worth a trip to Sousa Dominican 🇩🇴

Really nice place. Good food in the buffet, great pools and beach, lots of areas with free sunbeds at all times of day. The only downside is rather mediocre Italian restaurant.

Casa Marina is a very good place to stay.
It is very cozy with relaxed and almost family atmosphere.
The personnel is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is on rocks, that’s why the ocean is different comparing to other parts of Dominicana. The ocean view is very picturesque. The hotel restaurant has a great view on the ocean and beautiful sunset.
This is a very atmospheric place to stay.

Loved our vacation at casa marina. Room was clean and bright. Everything was located nearby. The beach and pools were sparkling. Food was good and the service was friendly. Looking forward to next visit!

Amazing resort, with plenty of amenities and nice people!

The service provided is fantastic and friendly without vendors getting in your face constantly trying to sell excursions, time sharing etc. So relaxing and the food is outstanding. So much to do off resort and still feel safe! My new retirement destination 👍👍

Beautiful hotel with a well-groomed green area. Many pools, there is a cliff for beautiful photos. polite and unobtrusive staff. An excellent choice of healthy food in the restaurant for baby.

Wow great trip great resort for the price staff great went off resort to casino couple bars very safe been to Cuba 25 times tried this place back next year for Easter 10 days again for sure

Just got back from 14 amazing days. The staff are simply amazing, beyond friendly and go out of their way to make sure, you enjoy every second of you’re vacation. Juan, Sandy, Jose, Viktor, Stan, Santana and many more I’ve forgotten, are some of the hardest working and genuinely nice people to be around, they make you feel at home! Booking our next trip already to see the fam there!

Nice and comfortable hotel with an incredible oceanside and view! Good service, friendly staff, tasty variable food! I especially want to mention and thank Jose Sena (room devision manager). He helped with a lot of questions about the accommodation, very responsive. It was a great staying!)
