Europcar La Union Puerto Plata Aeroport

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - especially Wardi and Rosanna. Very happy with the service and vehicle, would definitely use them again and recommend them to any one travelling through this airport.

No he tenido problemas en alquilar el coche. El personal siempre fue amable. Los problemas con el coche (goma rompió y accidente con coche) fueron rápidamente procesados. Sólo en el check puede ser más rápido, porque 45 minutos esperando a un empleado es demasiado largo...

Nous avons eu un excellent service. Mme Francisca Soza a été très accommodante. Qualité du véhicule irréprochable. Prise de possession à l'aéroport et Mme Soza est venue elle même récupérer le véhicule à notre hôtel à Cabarete nous évitant ainsi de devoir retourner à l'aéroport. This is not a serious company. First, I rented a pick up a week in advance, that was not available (nearest one was in Santiago ~2 hrs away). Then, the supervisor, Rosanna Alcántara, indicated that company policy was 5 dollars per extra hour per extra 24 hrs up to 4 hours, then next day when I deliver 2 hrs after my delivery time they charged me a full extra day.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. NOT TRUTHFUL AND DECEIVING.

This is the worst location to rent a car. Every person in front of us complained about the “additional” charges this location applies to the rental. Even if you take the insurance online, you have pay again with extra tax for more insurance. This charge is great than the value of the rental. Open theft for all consumers. DONT RENT FROM THEM!!

Car rental paid for, when we arrived they didn’t have one and no idea when or how one would be available, with 2 young children and did not care. Horrendous

Terrible service. We booked the car online and received email confirmation. But when we arrived to pick it up, the staff simply said there was no car available. We tried to call the Santo Domingo Office who simply apologized and provided no explanation nor alternative. Better try the competitors.

Shame on Europcar! A major brand to tolerate daylight robbery practices and shenanigans at their franchises. Had a confirmed reservation only to find out they had “no cars” when we arrived ..we were quickly referred to an obscure next door car rental company for double the price… and it did not take long to find out that the obscure company next to them was owned by same guy who owns the Europcar franchise … bait and switch …

It is really unbelievable, they try to force on you extras and insurance that you already are cover for, after I refuse any extras they still charged me
for an insurance, read this, just in case a lose my key or my battery runs out, $60.00, when I complaint to management through email, of course, they just gave me the run around, my next stop was to disputed that charged and my credit card refunded me that money. The people at the europcar kiosk in puerto plata are to said the least very misleading and outright liars. I will definitely do not recommend them

Takes almost an hour to get a car. Insurance covers only $12000. Extra $50 charge for internal cleaning (they kind of assume i am going to vaccum the car on my flight day?). Never again.

This was the absolute worst experience I could imagine renting a car in a foreign country. The price was a lie, they forced meto buy insurance even though I already had it, and then said I damaged the car when I hardly went anywhere. I returned the car after 3 days when i supposed to have it for one month and paid a ridiculous amount of money. It was a terrible experience and I would never recommend this company.

I wouldn’t rent a car nor make another reservation at this location. I had a confirmed reservation, once I got to the counter the rep increased the price by $600 more. Never again, steer clear of that location.

Hidden fees, added accessories without permission, and last minute they force an insurance on you thats way more then the cost of the rental. This mandatory insurance is not mention at all online. Avoid them, go with a local renter.

The are the worst. My reservation price was $300 and when I got there they did not honor the price and said it was now $500. They some scamming crooks. I left them and went to another rental company.

Terrible experience.
1) wanted to charce us U$50 to clean a clean car
2) road side assistance service hotline didn't answer the phone after 5p.m

=> MY ADVICE: TAKE AN OTHER CAR RENTAL COMPANY
