Vemmetofte Præstegård

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. Vibeke, the hostess, will do as much as she can to make your stay unforgettable. Well, for us, she succeeded! The breakfast, served in the garden with other guests, was very good and a good start of the day. So much better than your average breakfast at a hotel.
The room was large with a good bed. And if this is not enough to convince you to stay here: it is quiet except for the church bell ringing at 8 o’clock in the morning.

Atmosphere, Atmosphere, Atmosphere

This is so much more than a B&B. The accommodation in the old vicary at the Vemmetofte Mansion is an ideal escape to the Danish countryside. The rooms are spacious and with love and attention in every detail. The staff makes you feel at home in the warm and cosy surroundings with no interruptions and a tranquillity, that is all too rare.

Even on my visit in rainy and windy October, this place was charming. The park, the forest and the beach invites you to long walks and afterthought. An ideal place for creative processes. Cell phone coverage is poor, but the excellent WIFI fully makes up for that.

I was there on business, but I will definitely return for a romantic getaway. Vemmetofte Præstegård is already one of my favourites among the hundreds of hotels I have visited over time

What a hidden gem. We loved staying with Vibeke who took really good care of us. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the outdoor area is so well kept. We had long breakfasts in the garden with homemade bread, homemade jams and locally sourced goodies. Our 6 kids played around with their soccer balls in the back of the garden without disturbing the rest of the guests. There is a lovely living room which is available where you can sit and read books at night or play card games. Only bad thing is that there is only one shower to share which is manageable but not ideal. We went to visit Faxe Kalkbrud to search for fossils and on the next day we went to visit the Labyrith park which was a big hit with the kids. We had dinner at Restaurant Skovfoged where we could walk from Præstegården (2.5k)

Det er et skønt sted, som får min bedste anbefaling. Tæt på oplevelser på Stevns, bl.a. oplevelsescenter om Stevns klint - UNESCO verdensarv.
Vibeke er en god værtinde i den gamle præstegård, som er smukt restaureret med omsorg for historien. Dejlig morgenmad, stort pænt og rent værelse.

Vi havde en skøn overnatning med morgenmad hos Vibeke. Stedet og værtsparret er så tiltalende - indretningen er smuk, afstemt, rolig - og morgenmaden var lækker og hjemmelavet fra A-Å. Vi vil meget gerne vende tilbage og kan anbefale både stranden i nærheden, Cafe Algade i Store Heddinge til aftensmåltid eller frokost, og en smuk vandretur i slotsparken ved siden af præstegården.

Nos alojamos solo una noche pero el lugar es único, muy agradable y tranquilo. Todo estaba muy limpio y decorado con mucho gusto. Vibeke estuvo pendiente de nosotros todo el tiempo y nos entendía e intentaba hablar algo de español. El desayuno magnífico y con productos del lugar. Sin ninguna duda lo recomendamos.

Rigtigt dejligt sted, pænt og rent. Vi havde en enkel overnatning med morgenmad. Vi var der en varm sommer dag, og det var dejligt at sidde i haven, er sikker på at det også ville være dejligt/hyggeligt at sidde i de lækker stuer og fordybe sig i en bog, en kold vinter dag.

Charmerende værelser i naturskønne omgivelser. Super service.
