Eged Teglværksgården

Really nice and quiet place. The owner is very friendly and showed us around right away. We slept tightly in our tent and had a few rasberries fresh from the garden we were allowed to pick for breakfast. Thanks again! :)

On our cycle trip in Denmark we stayed a night at this quiet and lovely site with a real friendly owner.

Prachtige plek, zeer vriendelijke gastheer en midden in de natuur! Absoluut héérlijk tot rust komen hier!
Indraai en plaatsen zijn eigenlijk alleen geschikt voor kleinere campers. Plaatsen zelf zouden iets ruimer mogen.
In onze app stond ook water vermeld, maar dat is er alleen op aanvraag.

Platz liegt sehr idyllisch

Honestly, one of the most unpleasant camping experiences we have had. First and foremost, the host Jason is extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming - his first words after “hello” were literally telling us what we have “failed” (his words) to do, followed by a list of things that we are potentially going to fail on. It started with telling us that we had to call a certain number upon arrival, otherwise he would call the police on us (?!), which is very odd, given we had already paid our stay online and had been texting back and forth about our time of arrival.

Long story short: Don’t offer a campsite if you can’t be a decent host.

The campsite itself is fairly decent, the garden is nice enough. There are no showers or facilities to clean your dishes, but fresh water and electricity (which we didn’t use, please don’t sue us Jason).

The toilet is a joke though: It is a self constructed monstrosity consisting of a bucket and some wood, only covered by a shower curtain, and it is so badly designed that failure is almost inevitable, which Jason obviously didn’t fail to point out upon arrival. I mean, anything would be better than this, even just a hole in the ground.

All in all: Get a toilet and a sink, change your attitude, then this place would actually be quite nice.

We followed every single rule, cleaned up after ourselves like one should and treated the place with respect, so Jason’s statement below is simply a lie. You’ll find out when you meet him.

Quiet place, but offers absolutely nothing for motorhomes. There is no toilet cleaning and no space for cleaning water from the boxes.😝
