Restaurant Klokken Aarhus

I had my 57th birthday here, while visiting from the USA in Oct of 2023. Wonderful food (I had the traditional crispy pork), great service, and a great atmosphere.

Next time we are in Denmark, we'll definitely visit again!

Klokken is a very friendly restaurant with a nice warm atmosphere. The food was really good i can tell. Also the waiters were very nice. Prices are reasonable. A place to be!

Had a great time tonight, first time in Aarhaus and was looking forward to eating away Klokken. Beautiful lounge style decor and a cosy intimate atmosphere. The menu is small but I really wanted every dish, they all looked good. We had the smoked salmon starter, and for mains, the plaice and the weinerschnitzel. The food was beautifully presented and very well balanced. We enjoyed it all - if I had any improvement suggestion, it would be that the plaice had too much going on in the same dish, but that's just my opinion. We took the lemon mousse for dessert, a bit too much cream for my taste but again, beautifully presented and well balanced. Service was excellent and very attentive. I think at the price it's excellent value for money.

Nice food and atmosphere. The open faced sandwiches are good! Service, at first I thought was inadequate, but they are very quick to rectify their mistakes so plus points for that.

Super cozy place, kind staff, yummy food, and extremely generous portions - you won’t want to leave (and probably won’t be able too - prepare for a proper food coma).

"The Brown Knights" rated this as best 'bøfsandwich' gravy in 2021, and it did not disappoint! This can be recommended even if you are not normally into beef sandwich 👌 On note, it has a slightly strong mustard inside. All in all a really good serving. Overall it was rated 3rd by "The Brown Knights" and I was positively supriced by the quality. It is the francesinha of the north 😁

Good autentic danish smørrebrød. Worth a visit. Warm and friendly service.

Amazing beef sandwich. Don't ask for more food. That should be enough for any adult person, but they used to have half-sized sandwich a few months ago. The brown sauce is amazing (a little salty last time but tasted so good). I would change homemade fries for homemade chips but that is just a personal opinion. So nice!

We had the bread (similar to smorrebrod) and it was amazing! Fresh ingredients, lots of tasty toppings, very friendly service. The lemonade is very sweet, but tasty. The service was very friendly and well even got s bowl of water for our dog.

Wonderful meals I had the beef sandwich my partner had the pork and chorizo stew with rice Both meals were delicious and very big portions. Wonderful service

The most amazing and authentic Danish restaurant I have had the pleasure of eating at. I had the Bøfsandwich and it was the most delicious meal I have tried in a while!

Have been to Klokken several times. The theme is classical Danish open sandwiches and dishes. They have many options including a half/whole menu. We went with the whole menu which includes all the hearts desire: pickled herring, fried plaice, chicken salad, tartelette, beefsandwich and a dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and quite generous portions. Excellent atmosphere and friendly staff. I will absolute recommend this place for a Danish-themed lunch.

Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. Best in Aarhus so far for us (as a family).

The service was excellent and the range of Danish foods prepared so well and in such an extremely appetizing manner. The taste of the local Aarhus brew was cherry on the icing. I recommend it to any Aarhus visitor.

Nice restaurant and good food. Only order the "bøfsandwich" if you are really really hungry. That thing is massive and I could not even finish it.
