Best brunch and ice coffee in Aarhus. Lovely atmosphere and professional, cheerful staff that, given a quiet moment, will dance to the music behind the bar and contribute to the feel-good vibes. Always helpful, and great in both Danish and English. Impeccable Christmas decorations that aren't "too much", but contributes to the "hygge". Always recommending this to my friends and visitors of Aarhus.

Café Jorden occupies a rather prominent position in Aarhus' lovely Latin Quarter at the T-Junction formed by Badstuegade and Rosensgade. We visited on a winter-is-coming Northern European night with the mercury having dipped below freezing. The tell tale signs of winter weren't here yet but we were happy to embrace the warm indoors. Gas fires were burning outside for those who love street-side seating so much that they are willing to go it at -3 degrees Celsius.

My sister has brought us (wife and I) here for one thing only though: piping hot chocolate. After we settled into our chairs, we took notice of the place - brightly decorated interiors with a predilection for flaming red in a manner reminiscent of a typical Parisian café, music that pandered to the global mainstream in a manner redolent of HRC (the likes of Summer of '69), artsy photographs and posters from bygone eras. A café, out and out.

The hot chocolate was just as simple and mesmerizing as it can be when the ratio is right. We took it in, restored some internal warmth and chatted about for a bit. Excellent place for precisely all of this if one can overlook the banal choice in music.

PS: Good washrooms on the floor above without the cigarette smell that dominates Europe in the winter.

Gestern (28.08.2022) durch Zufall zu diesem Festival gestoßen, welches von diesem Kaffee ausgerichtet wurde. Eine tolle Stimmung und die Getränke eiskalt. Klasse Message auf den Shirts der vielen fleißigen Helfer. Und - wir konnten mit Visa zahlen. Ein schöner Tag in aarhus. Danke

Sehr schönes Café mit großer Terrasse. Ideal um das Wochenende mit einem Aperol Spritz einzuläuten.
