Sherlock Holmes Pub

A classic British Pub in Denmark's Second city Aarhus. A hidden gem. The entire pub looks like it is stuck in time, with classic british pub carpets, copper pipe edge bars and dark wooden tables and bar tops. The bar is lined with classic bar stools. At the rear of the pub, you will find a cozy corner with bookshelves and comfy leather chairs and sofas. The oil candles and lowered lighting after sunset, add to the ambience of the venue. The music was entirely British classics from the 60s to 90s. The draft beers contain a varied selection of the best from British distilleries at relatively fair prices, considering they are imported. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
This place rivals many classic pubs in England and is definitely a place I would return to in the future.

Good beer, friendly and affordable

British beers in a Sherlock Holmes themed British pub. Everything served at the correct temperature with courteous and knowledgeable staff. A must try for this in Aarhus looking for something a little different, but also a bit familiar.

A cozy pub that has a rough edge in a good kind of way. Heavily Holmes themed, it's definitely a UK-styled pub. It has a good beer selection and smoking and non-smoking areas.

Great friendly pub. Lots and lots of choices of beer to pick from, not only from Denmark but from around Europe (especially the UK). Big screens showing live sport too. Bar staff superb

What a lovely pub. Absolutely amazing selections, lovely staff and one of the best places to get an Irish Coffee in Aarhus!

Nice and cozy place. Good choice of beers and drinks. Pub quiz on Mondays is awesome. Bartenders are great!

Also, if you're a smoker, they have a separate large and comfy smoking room with proper furniture and all (not a typical tiny closet without any ventilation or chairs).

Sherlock Holmes in Denmark is one of the best pubs that I have visited in my life. There are many good reasons why you should visit this pub, whether you are a local or a traveller, this is a place for you to rest!

I went here with my two Danish friends and my girlfriend. This is the pub that my Danish friends have been going to for the past 3 years and they've become friends with the owners and bar staff and help with the events that they host there.

The drinks are pricey but I think with every bar in Denmark, you're going to be paying quite a lot and with the service that you receive, it's well worth it.
They allow you to have as many tasters as you want to make sure that if you purchase the beverage, that you'll actually enjoy it.

The barman/women are very friendly and chatty, whether you speak Danish or English* and they'll ask you about your day or travels and recommend drinks for you to try. (Not pricey ones as well!)

The volume of the pub is very quiet so it's nice to have a good chat and a laugh with your friends! Unless there's a football game on, then you'll struggle to get a few words in!

The general seating arrangements of the pub is very open and there's places for groups, doubles and singles so you won't have to worry about trying to find a seat!

I don't think they serve food here, but if they do I would assume it would be bar snacks like peanuts or crisps.

All in all, I rate Sherlock Holmes a 5/5 bar to go and have a few drinks with your friends!

I visited in 2016 and met some really cool folx with really great recommendations of places to visit during my stay. Awesome bar!

Very nice ambience with great beer options

Love this place. Everything is as it should be: the decor is delightfully quaint and cosy, the smoking room warmly inviting, the barmen properly annoying, the sports matches ever-present, the wax statues creepy as ever, and the ale nice and cold. Top marks 👍👍

Very cozy place with friendly staff and really good karaoke. Yesterday I went there for the very first time during my short visit to Aarhus, enjoyed the evening so much, singing and just having a good time)) Amazing atmosphere!

I'm not sure what to say. It's a great place, as massive in size as is the selection of beverages. There's a wax version of Sherlock and Watson, keeping an eye on the smoking area. Karaoke on Thursdays. It's actually pretty good. Yeah, five stars
