Café 1000Fryd

Someone once told me that The Danish people are as cold as their weather but trust me the people at 1000Fryd are some of the warmest I've ever met in my travels. Ian and his team are just the best. Good music, nice and warm people and a good philosophy. Once you're in Aalborg you shd pass by for a drink or two.

One of the most open-minded and tolerant activity centres in Aalborg. It holds strong values and gives space for counter-culture to evolve, in form's of music, art, cinema and books. Don't be scared away by occasional emptiness in the house, since it's activist run, it has unpredictable flow of people every week. Get to talk to some activists and let them help you to find out more about the house. My favourite space that I recommend is the Peepshop, which is a free, non-profit cinema running twice a week together with a political Bookcafe that is always open for discussions.

I don't always go to a bar, but when I do it's 1000 fryd. Cheap beer with damn good metal/rock music.

Nice and quaint place, run primarily by voulenteers, has good live acts, lots of activities and a dedicated community

Amazing place, an inspirational alternative community and an activist house that works against the hierarchies and prejudices of our modern day society. Supports non-mainstream artists and serves organic drinks in the bar. :) <3

It is a really cool place with lots of different events, e.g. Concerts, DJs or vegan dinner on Tuesdays. I especially like the documentary Wednesday. On Sundays they also often show some low budget indie movies which can be really nice.

Insane good drum n bass, super friendly stuff, good mood and nice Public. Quite good sound system, location is cool. Would recommend when in town. Very alternative!!

1000Fryd is a wonderful little place hosting all sorts of live performances. I went there during Aalborg jazz week and enjoyed a great jazz concert and a couple of beers. The staff there was very friendly and the room was packed though not uncomfortablely.

Great venue for all your favorite niche genres. Run by volunteers since the 70's, with cheap prices, including a cafe and a cinema. International and interesting clientele ensured.

Friendly staff, nice cozy concert on a small stage, you're right next to the band.

Alternative crowd, run by volunteers, live music, good selection of beverages, organic beers. Lebowski fans should try the Vegan White Russian

Down beat, hardcore, diy, misfits, metal, art, chep drinks.. Funky smell, cigarettes... Cool place, but not for everyone.

This is the place for real people who like real music and vegan food. 1000Fryd has the best prices in Aalborg, and 1000Fryd makes everyone feel welcome 🙏❤

Wonderful place, great drinks and fantastic people, especially the blonde curly bartender with the glasses, what a piece of man.
