Vecchio Convento

Absolutely not-to-miss Italian restaurant. Owner is from Italy, very pleasant and talkative, and full of good stories. Food is fantastic, and we had to skip dessert, as there was plenty of food. Expect around €80,- for two courses with wine.

On that day, I remembered.
I loved eating food at restaurants.
And It always made me so happy.

Located in the small but charming city Odder, the store sets it apart from other Danish stores in the same price range.

It's not cheap for me, who lived in Japan, but I have to think that eating the food here was a well worth the expense.

First, I ordered carbonara.
The dish, which was filled with chopped bacon and cheese in a small ring-shaped noodle, was amazing.
Crispy bacon, juicy fat, cream, and pasta.
Various texture combinations will promise a happy time until the last bite.
The word "masterpiece" is appropriate for the dish.

Then I ordered a Limone for dessert.
The moment I saw the dishes that were served in, it made me exciting.
It's a beautiful work of art.
Meringue, chocolate, lemon cream, fruits, cookies.
This is also devised so that I could enjoy various textures and tastes.
Lemon cream had a slightly strong acidity, but it was delicious.

The clerk is also kind.
I can't go to Odder for a while, but I definitely would like to go here when I will visit Odder next time.

Authentic and truely italian :) the food has great quality and Massimiliano creates a personal and welcoming atmosphere! I recommend to go!

This is an absolutely amazing place - it is a bit pricey, but not too much so that you don't feel you're not getting what you paid for. The food and drinks are fantastic, it's some of the best food I've gotten for the money, they have a specials card (which i believe renews every week or so) and a main card with all your "classic" dishes. The entire place is authentic Italian, staff is Italian and it gives off a nice Italian vibe being there.

A weird take, but som fun is also the restrooms, they have buckets instead of sinks and it's a funny and nice touch to the entire place.

I have nothing bad to say about my experience there, but beware that it's not the cheapest restaurant to go to.

Food was excellent, best in town.
Decor is stylish.
And the staff is Friendly, polite and professional, you feel in good hands the entire visit.

Really great restaurant. Whilst we were eating the chef came and talked to us about each of our dishes which was a nice touch. The restaurant even smokes it’s own salmon and bakes it’s own delicious sourdough bread which is provided in unlimited quantities. Interesting menu with a good range of main course options. My only criticism would be that this Italian restaurant could offer more pasta options. Would eat here again.

Vi havde en helt fantastisk aften. Mad, vin og stemning var i absolut top klasse, da Mauricio Bardotti var havde lagt vejen forbi Odder. Fantastisk koncept og vildt at kunne have en så stor kulinarisk oplevelse i sin egen “lille” by. Mange tak 🙏.
