A must-see if you're spending time in Copenhagen, and want to chill, or go for swimming. Good place to walk, have a picnic, and even spend a whole day, as there are facilities on the site (keep in mind they're closed in winter). I love it for evening walks.
Update:
It's still worth seeing in winter. Peaceful and magical. And you won't be the only one going there for a walk.

Sunshine, rainbow, sandy beach, ocean breeze, fishing pier, swimming platform, lagoon for canoeing, kayaking, ice cream truck, coffee bar and snacks, this place has so much to offer. The views of the array of wind turbines, the international bridge and the airport are also spectacular.

It's absolutely stunning. The island is man made so the terrain is perfectly landscaped for leisure and recreation. Great architecture is complemented by amazing views and nature. I don't think any local needs this, but I can wholeheartedly recommend it to all tourists. Half a day here can fully recharge your batteries

The water is very clean! I recommend you to see the maps of this artificial beach so you can choose whether to enjoy the east or west area. Highly recommend you to enjoy the nude floating beach in the east cost. Also watch out for the red jellyfish and pay attention to the flag that indicates the swimming restrictions during certain periods.

Amazing beach park that's great for walking, jogging, swimming, getting ice cream and relaxing in the grass.

Outstanding in so many ways and such a stunning area.

So many wonderful amenities scattered along the coast, makes it appealing for lots of different people.

Truly amazing open water swimming structure with changing benches, diving platforms and showers.

Two open air gyms. Long, wide promenade along the gorgeous beach.

Kayak rental, coffee stops, plenty of picnic spots.

It's joyful stuff.

A beautiful beach near the city. Easy to get to by subway or bike. Enjoy the white sand and the clear water. Kiosk for snacks and ice cream and toilets nearby.

A lovely beach and park by the sea. Lots of space and green, perfect for a long walk or a day out with the family on the beach. It is very clean and has good facilities and some cafe and ice cream shops along. You can swim or do kayaking, kite surfing or play beach volleyball or other activities etc. parking is very convenient.

Definitely recommend during a nice summer day with beach wear and a mattress, cozy book to spend a long afternoon.

There are some cafes and landmarks - recommend to check out the map layout placed almost everywhere

Reach the beach in 8 mins via Metro from the city centre! Amager Strandpark is the perfect place for an evening walk. The beach is clean and the water is clear - we happily took our shoes off to paddle in the sea, but many people were also swimming. There are great views from the beach over to Amager Bakke and Sweden on the horizon. There are food places to buy icecreams and snacks on the beach, however these are closed in the evening. There are public toilets which remain open. We also saw busy volleyball courts and people kayaking. This place has a beautiful atmosphere, it's a perfect escape from the city.

Loving this place. This is an absolute reason to live in Copenhagen. Fresh air, beaches, cool people doing sport or playing mini-golf, tasty ice-cream in a retro bus near the sea. Beautiful, nostalgic and very contemporary feeling.

We do love to take a walk here, because it's view to the sea and a very solid walk way. Actually it's all year round we enjoy to walk here. It has very clean surroundings and a lovely sea breeze. Must recommend this.

Nice place, probably very nice in summer. Good space and swimming area is shielded for the wind, with several stairs up from the water. Toilets were closed, only one was open but was unclean... A lot of green area, parking for motorhomes/RV.

Very nice to walk along the beach here. There is a dock for diving into the sea and you can see Sweden across the water. There are some cafes out on the beach but none of them were open when I went, probably because it was still winter.

It's a beautiful beach and just at 5 minutes walking distance from Amager Strand metro station. It has a very nice playing area for kids. The place is a must visit in a sunny day. If you plan to visit in Summer, them maybe can carry some snacks with you as could only find an Ice cream store at beach and not many restaurants or Cafes

Beautiful place, accessible from the city center via the M2 metro line. Naturally there is bicycle parking. You could see Malmö, Sweden from afar.
