The atmosphere is amazing, next to the river with amazing view and fresh air.

Self service food with decent price. I can't take potato salad, the chef is very nice, he helped to change to couscous salad.

Very nice and well organised beer garden with a good selection of food and drinks.
We ended up staying most of the afternoon because the weather was so nice and it was such a good atmosphere, much less hectic than other beer gardens so you can take the time to select your beer. Very close to the river too

Very friendly staff. Simple but super delicious, traditional South German beer garden food. Like that the meat is organic and localy produced. Wonderful atmosphere. Best prezel I ever had!!!

I really like the location of this Biergarten. Unlike the more common Biergartens, this one is tucked away and smaller and not as crowded. And it's so close to the river. Even if you don't find a spot you can always take your food and drinks to the river side.

Very chill place to hang out on a sunny afternoon, not too busy or noisy. Good selection of beers, wines and food. Clean bathrooms too 🙂

Lovely beer garden by the river. I recommend bringing a bathing suit to swim in the river and then eat at the beer garden. Typical fair but delicious. Don’t forget to bring your glasses back to get your 2 euro deposit back. There is an English menu by the cashiers. It is cash only like many other places in Germany.

Nice place to grab some beers

This place is just great, it ain’t as touristy as other place and the food is great. It is not the typical chicken, but a Brezn you’ll still get there. Beer of course as well. If you are lucky and you just wanna enjoy the sun and hang out, you might even get one of the few beach chairs. Thumbs up for a different Biergarten!

This review is mainly about the food. Cute little Biergarten, not the best or most romantic in terms of location/looks, but the food is outstanding. As a vegan I mostly count on eating Brezen, fries and maybe some plain salad whenever I visit a Biergarten (or bring my own stuff, of course), but omg, when I visited this place for the first time yesterday they served a vegan curry (advertised as such too). And it was more yummy than many other curry I’ve eaten at Thai restaurants. It could’ve used a bit of tofu or some more chickpeas, but the curry was sooo well done and the veggies were fresh and crispy. The food that my omnivore friends had also looked great. Kudos to this place stepping it up food wise!

Great place to visit after a long or early trip to the city center, authentic Bavarian Biergarten with a bit of shade located right next to the Isar river. 10/10 recommended

One of the better beir gartens in Munich. Chill atmosphere, good bunch of food (bio) and bier.

Take your drinks down to the Isar if you feel so inclined to enjoy your day in the sunshine. Deck chairs are scattered around which creates a nice beach like feel.

best food of all the biergartens in munich. Not cheap but you get what you pay for: in this case, good quality biergarten food which happens to be organic, or Bio and sourced mostly locally.

Slightly off the beaten path. Right next to the Isar (unfortunately with no view). Good organic food. Especially popular among younger local crowd.

Both the Muffathale Biergarten and the Biergarten/ Bar (incl. DJs) right outside Ampere are two of the nicest places to sit outdoors in Munich’s city Centre.
