I recently went on the Eagle’s Nest tour with Claudio and it was probably the best tour I’ve ever been on.

He was just incredible and I had the best day! The hike up to the eagles nest is challenging but Claudio was extremely patient, frequently asked if I was doing ok, and is practically a walking history book. In the 6 hours I was with him, I learned more than I could have ever expected. He answered all my questions not only about world war 2 but about Austria in general. If you’re in Salzburg, you definitely need to do one of his tours.

This was an experience I will never forget and it’s all thanks to Claudio! Thank you again for such an amazing day!

We Made a beautiful tour to Koningssee with Claudio. It was relaxing not to worry about anything and just follow Claudio for this trip that was a beautiful extra to our trip to Salzburg.

Take this tour!! You’ll love it. We had an amazing day hiking to the Eagle’s Nest and exploring Berchestgarden with Claudio. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the place and had a great collection of footage and photos he put together on a tablet to shed even more light on each site we saw. His passion for the history and landscape shines through.

He is a great story teller and brings the significance of Berchtesgaden to life. He’s also an accomplished mountain guide and made the hike totally perfect, tailoring to our pace and style. All in all, the day with Claudio was unanimously voted our favorite day of our multi-week trip. Claudio also gave us tons of tips on other hikes and activities we could in the area the next day, which we were stoked about because we had so much fun with this tour.

Just spent the day with Claudio on a hike up to Eagle's Nest. What a great experience! Our group consisted of a family of nine (no relation to us), my wife, and me. Claudio was so engaging with everyone, from the adults to the family's 6 year-old son. As we hiked up to Eagle's Nest, some of the members of our group had difficulty with the hike. This was no problem for Claudio. He was so patient with everyone and made us all feel like we were part of his family. We were supposed to wrap up by 5 pm, but didn't complete the tour until well after that, all because Claudio put the needs of our group ahead of his own.

His knowledge of the area and his willingness to share that information is unmatched! We learned about and saw things you would never hear about on a bus tour. Claudio is the consummate professional and very personable in how he runs his tours. If I could give more than five stars I would. Claudio's is the best tour we have taken yet and I would highly recommend him anyone who wants to have a great experience at the Eagle's Nest! Thanks Claudio!

Highly recommended for the people who want to know about the history of Salzburg. Also, if you are a beginner at trekking then you will get really good tips from Claudio. Moreover, Claudio is a very friendly person and it was memorable trekking for us.

We hv thoroughly enjoyed and learnt much from Claudio's indepth appreciation and genuine deep interest in WWII affairs. The details he has offered cannot be read from books, but are culminated from his years of research and keen observation. Claudio is an excellent tour guide who is not only deeply knowledgeable and informative about multiple topics, but a lovely, laid-back person with a welcoming vibe. I learnt so much on the tour I had. I loved how he pointed out small details and interesting nuggets of information as we went along, things that I would never have stumbled across or found out on my own. Claudio is also very open to conversation about the history we were learning about, so the whole tour was not only very informative, but also often felt like interesting conversation with a friend!

Fantastic company and guide! We did the hiking tour to Eagle's Nest and could not have had a better experience. The hike was challenging, and definitely not flat, but so beautiful with incredible views.
Claudio was organized and professional. He tailored the tour to our interests and abilities. He was extremely knowledgeable and had answers for all of our questions, and showed us some fascinating sites "off the beaten track". We are already planning our next adventure trip to Salzburg!

Claudio was an incredible tour guide! It looked like the weather would be too bad to hike up to the Eagle’s Nest, so instead of cancelling, Claudio modified our tour to include WWII history further down the mountain. The weather ended up being okay (still snowing but not too bad), so we hiked up to the Eagle’s Nest anyway. Claudio is so knowledgeable about his WWII history and showed us the off-the-beaten-path sites that you would never see with another tour. He was also super professional and kept in constant communication before the tour, as we were unsure of what the weather would be. Best tour I’ve ever taken! I highly recommend this amazing company!

Once in a lifetime experience. Claudio is a fantastic tour guide. His passion for history was evident from the beginning of our trip, pointing out landmarks and providing interesting facts whenever possible. Hiking up the mountain to the Eagle's Nest is more laboursome than riding a bus, but it allowed us to see things off the beaten path that we would have otherwise missed. In addition to being an informative guide, Claudio was extremely personable and accommodating. I would definitely book another tour with Claudio and Monkey Business Tours.

Claudio was terrific and so knowledgeable about the WWII History of this place. He was patient and considerate of each walkers needs. I am so glad we chose the walk UP! I highly recommend it, but be prepared with good shoes, walking sticks, bladder of water & good fortitude. Loved our experience with Claudio. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful tour with Claudio. He was super accommodating from the start of the day. He was knowledgeable and had an answer to every one of our questions. I hiked up to the Eagle's Nest with Claudio -- it was easily the highlight of my trip! Claudio has a wealth of knowledge, and brings history and nature to life along the route. He even brought along safety equipment to help us pass the ice/snow at the top of the hike. Views were breathtaking! Most of all, he is friendly, trustworthy and easy to talk to for several hours. Would highly recommend a tour with Claudio!

I took Claudio’s tour of the eagles nest outside of Salzburg. He was a top notch guide and it made for a very worthwhile and memorable tour. Guy knows his stuff and has a great personality. We were probably his last tour of the season and he was still bringing a lot of energy and engagement. I respect that!

Claudio was nothing short of amazing! His knowledge of the area, WWII and Hitler’s rise to power was stunning. The hike up to the Eagle's Nest was gorgeous and his narration along the way made the trek seem short. Our 2 sons - 16 & 11 were engaged the ENTIRE time!

If you want to see the Eagles’s Nest this is the only way to do it. Claudio is the best - lifelong memory and the highlight of our Austrian stay.

If you want to do a tour related to the historical World War II and do the Eagle's Nest hike, and spend time in nature, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Monkey Business Tour.
The tour guide is very professional and made a great impression with his elaborating stories about the areas we visited.

Hiking to the top of Eagle’s Nest was a blast. This was due to professionalism and knowledge displayed by Claudio, who is a very knowledgeable individual regarding the History and Politics of the Area. Conversation with Claudio was very free flowing and informative. The long hike seemed to pass very quick due to fruitful discussions, that transpired during the hike. I would highly recommend this experience, especially for those that like nature, history and jaw-dropping views.
