An excellent double espresso that gave me the boost I needed after a long travel day. The owner/staff are so kind — they cut a piece of cake for my toddler on the house. Cash only, and totally worth it.

Yesterday my friends and I had a cozy meet-up here. It's right in the middle of time and a hidden gem at the same time, it's close to the Goethe Museum and to Zeil.

Their decoration is nice to look at, with mint colored walls one wall is full with books from which you can pick one and read. It has such a calm atmosphere you could do some work on your laptop. Every table has a flower arrangement amd gives a light vibe. The waiters were super friendly and open, cracking jokes here and there.

Their hot chocolate is actual chocolate chips melted in hot milk with milk foam on top. They also offer a variety of different milks, lactose-free milk, soy milk, coconut milk etc... their cake and pastry collection is straightforward and tasty.

If you want to chill for a couple of hours by yourself or with friends Café Opitz is the place to be.

I was here on Saturday mid afternoon with a friend of mine who lives in Germany as I was visiting Frankfurt from New York. We sat down to take a break with some tea before we went into Goethehause at Cafe OPITZ but I had some serious stomach trouble all of a sudden. It was very acute and there was little I could do to feel better. The cafe staff were incredibly kind and caring and they helped me in so many ways. I was such a huge inconvenience to them but they were trying to help in any way possible, including offering water and chair, doctor, a place to lay down if needed. I was so touched so wanted to go back to show my gratitude the next day but the cafe didn’t open before my flight out. Thank you so much and I apologize again for all the trouble.
I would highly recommend this place based on the kindness of the staff there. They also seem to have a great selection of tea and cake.

Favorite Café in the city center.

Good and simple coffee, delicious lemonade and Kusmi Tea.

Serves three different lunch options, one better than the next. Usually some kind of pasta or soup.

You can work with your laptop, free wifi is available. Don't be afraid to sit there for longer than just a coffee. Everyone who works there is super nice and chilled out.

As a tourist I was surprised to find a tea place. Love it.

Nettes Café, sehr sauber und mit aufmerksamen Service der auch überaus freundlich ist. Da der Außenbereich an der Straße liegt ist es manchmal etwas laut, aber das lässt sich aufgrund der Lage des Cafés nicht vermeiden, deshalb kein Abzug hierfür. Auch die selbstgemachte Limonade war sehr lecker und nicht zu süß.
