We were looking for nice and unusual breakfast experience near Krefeld. We came across Liesgen. I checked their IG page and it looks like a nice cozy cafe. Since we come from Eindhoven, I would really like to secure a table for the 4 of us. The staffs responded nicely in English, since I was insecure about my written German. We arrived there on time, but our table wasn’t ready. The staffs who helped us kindly to make sure we have our table promptly. While waiting, I could feel that we made a good choice. The restaurant is cozy, small, and filled with nice quotes or pictures. They use vintage furniture which adds to the uniqueness of their characters. If you love this places that makes you feel that you are in your grandparents’ house, you will love Liesgen. The breakfast menu is vegan/vegetarian friendly, which you hardly see these days. They focus on quality. I love their red velvet latte. Everyone had something to order. It was very difficult to choose. It’s not a fast food restaurant, so you do need to consider a waiting time. It was super busy when we got there on a Thursday, nevertheless our food arrived in 20 minutes. The staffs were very kind and spoke English. One of them (the one with the ginger hair) listened patiently when I tried to order in German. Will we go back there again? Yes, we will! Keep in mind for families coming with children (strollers), it might be tight.

I’ve been to many places where they have gluten-free options but never have I been to a normal cafe that serves gluten-free coffee cookies. Almost every thing on the menu can be made gluten-free and they even have some gluten-free cakes. I am so happy I found this place. The only negative thing I might have to add is that the place might be difficult for families with strollers, since it’s rather small.

Liesgen has a great atmosphere, great coffee, and the baking goods are delicious - I highly recommend the carrot cake.
The staff is super nice and the coffeeshop also sells small gifts and coffee beans.

I love this place!
More than great atmosphere and a wide range of food, people work here are awesome.
They are all welcoming and very nice.
A lady helped me browsing the menu and later on asked if I liked the food I have ordered, in a very nice way.
Since I still cannot speak German, people in a lot of other places (sometimes) treat me so bad.
I was so relieved that here I could be relaxed and happy.
I will come here again!

Ein wunderschönes Café mit hervorragendem Kaffee und sehr sehr leckerem Essen. Ich empfehle Bonjour Liesgen mit French Toast und das Rührei Trude Herr :)

Sehr gemütliches Ambiente auf zwei Etagen. Warme, einladende mit Nostalgie angehauchtes Café. Es empfiehlt sich zu reservieren, da der Andrang doch sehr groß ist. Ich hatte das vegetarische Frühstück, da gekochte Eier aus waren gab es ein Spiegelei als Ersatz :).

Ein schönes gemütliches rustikales Ambiente begrüßt einen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an veganen Kuchen und Gerichten. Ich hatte eine veg. Rhabarbertorte und veg. Himbeer - Mascarpone - Torte welche sehr lecker war. Dazu ein Latte Macchiato mit Hafermilch. Auf den Tischen steht Rohrzucker, was ich persönlich viel besser als raffinierten Zucker finde.

Super! Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Nachmittag im Liesgen mit leckerem Kuchen und Kaffee. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und herzlich. Eine unbedingte Empfehlung.

Das aller beste Café für mich! Super leckere Kuchenauswahl und tolle Kaffeespezialitäten. Ein Traum für alle Menschen, die sich vegan ernähren oder es mal ausprobieren möchten.

Sehr leckeres Essen, bekommt einem sehr gut , schmeckt ausgezeichnet ( Panini hatte ich). Toller und freundlicher Service! Ambiente und Sitzgelegenheit sind sehr schön👍 Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen ❤

Wir haben uns eine Torte zur Taufe unseres Sohnes bestellt. Von der Kontaktaufnahme per E-Mail, über die Probierbox mit leckeren Variationen bis zur fertigen Torte war alles einwandfrei. Der Kontakt zu den Liesgens war super freundlich und die Dekoration und Geschmack der Torte haben unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Und preislich war auch alles im Rahmen. Vielen lieben Dank dafür. Eine klare Weiterempfehlung und wir kommen wieder!

Tolles Back-Handwerk mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Zudem ist die Bedienung immer äußerst freundlich.
