Unimog museum

Quite a pleasant discovery in the area! Either an adult or a child, a petrolhead or not, you will find this museum interesting, if not amazing. The stuff are very friendly. The guided track tour is certainly a great idea, giving the visitors the opportunity to get a taste of the spectacular possibilities of this piece of automotive history.

This place is awesome. I didn’t know about the history of UNIMOG at all, and the way that they listed out the exhibit was inspiring. There was a bit of a problem with logging onto the wifi and having the English part of the app, but they have a physical booklet in the front that you can take around. Really interesting history on what happened after WWII and German engineering took a “farm vehicle” to the next stage. 😆 the bathrooms are downstairs, when you first enter the lobby. You should *definitely* get a ride as well. Seeing the exhibit, understanding the engineering, and then riding in a UNIMOG is awesome.

I made the 2.5hr trek from Zurich while in town over the weekend on business, home for me is the central, US. I have always loved Unimogs, and visiting the museum was great! They have a small but good selection of food and beer on site when you choose to take a break from reading all the historical points. I will own a Unimog one day!

A unique experience of very famous Unimog and it’s history…

Always loved Unimogs, so when I got the chance to visit I couldn't turn it down. The museum gives a excellent background to the birth and evolution of the Unimog. A look at German postwar ingenuity and design and how the brand has moved forward. I took a spin round the track and saw first hand what they are capable of and geeked out over the cutaways and displays. As a bonus the scenery around the whole area is pretty stunning too, with lots of other attractions near by. Well worth a visit.

I did the off-road driver training with Roland. It was a blast and I learned a lot about off-road driving in general and Unimog’s specifically. It is a unique experience driving one of these vehicles up a large obstacle and seeing only sky out the front window!

Rich history of Unimog. Huge vehicles and a pleasant experience.

Really cool displays and history of the Unimog. The boys couldn't get enough. And to top it all off was the Unimog Drive. Any Time Again. Had a great lunch after in the restaurant. Was hesitant as museum restaurants are always expansive. Not this one. Reasonable price for great quality and big portion.

Nice for 2 hours visit, cheap entry, You can get a ride in Unimog for some Euros, it's very nice. The parking is free.

Unimog is must visit place to understand MB special truck. Don't miss opportunity to go for ride with truck. Riding in an truck is the crazy thing to do and this helps in understanding Power and Capacity of Unimog in off road conditions.

Incredible Unimog museum. Many trucs around. Not so big place but with lot of great vehicles.

This is a good place for someone who enjoys Unimog cars but the museum is rather small.

Place is a must for any Unimog aficionado. Get tickets with a U5023 ride and enjoy ramps, bumps and slopes :-)

If you are a fan of the unique off-roader - Unimog - Universal Motor Gerät (Universal Motor Vehicle), take your time to go there. It is amazing museum for adults and kids too!

Nice little museum for petrol heads. Taking a ride in their course is a uniqe expirience, don't miss it.

Great - very interesting museum, the ride round the off road track made our visit!

Great fun. Taking the ride in the Unimog was fun and worth the money and the wait. Everything is in German, however, so if you can't read German you may not get the full benefit of everything.
