Eilenriede City Forest

A great spot for nature lovers. You can stroll or ride a bicycle through the forest trails. There is a park in the middle of the forest. Also there is a cafe. Toilet facility is also available.

I grew up next to the forest, still live near it, wouldn't want to miss it. And it is indeed a forest, not a park. An original forest, once probably part of the extensive northern forest, it's origins dating back thousands of years. Eventually gifted to the citizens of Hanover in 1371 by the dukes Wenceslaus and Albrecht of Saxony. Also referred to as the green lung of Hanover. Within, one does not need to wander far to go on a journey.

Refreshing walking, jogging, biking forest in the middle of the city. Large patches of grass (dogs are forbidden in some) are great for picnics, Frisbee or just catching some vitamin D. A little cafe can be found in there as well. They were closed when we went, but it appears they have coffee and some food.

Incredible city park, great for walking and having peace of mind.

A huge area full of trees in the heart of the capital of Lower Saxony Germany. In fact a place where you can walk yourself or your dog. Playgrounds for the kids can be found as well as small cafés. Enjoy.

Amazing place to run, cycle and walk. You can even find secret places to dine. Treasure place in the middle of the city. I call it forest but locals call it a park 😜

Ran here a few times. Good trails for running. Asphalt trails for runners and bikes.

Calm. Peaceful. Newcomers better have Google map so that you don't get lost in the endless by roads in the forest ;)

Went for a short walk and it was beautiful ! Clean air , green trees and very clean( no trash to be seen)
