Leuchtturm Kiel-Holtenau

Upon arriving at Leuchtturm Kiel-Holtenau, I was immediately struck by its imposing stature. The lighthouse stands tall, proudly overlooking the Kiel Canal, acting as a beacon of guidance for ships navigating through these treacherous waters. Its distinctive red and white exterior, complemented by a well-maintained surrounding area, creates a picturesque sight that evokes a sense of awe.

A nice bike ride from Kiel center, going over the Holtenau bridge to then reach the lighthouse.
I was sad to find the door closed, but the lighthouse is quite unique and worth visiting, even if only from the outside!

Peaceful place with a few benches, parking spots, and restraunt on the side.

When you are in Kiel... Nice place to go for Coffee, Cake and fresh fish.

A nice place for a short visit. I used my city bicycle from decathlon to visit the place. The journey was awesome, fantastic scenery is there, the over bridge is really awesome. Peacful place, for food and drinks small joints are there and lot of people visit the place. Many enthusiasts use the boats to go the sea, some are having their yachts. Overall the experience for me was really good, I never knew that Holtenau is so near to my place and really beautiful.

Lovely place to go, free parking and the marina below.. You have places for dinar, people are very nice, this day there was an open air tango, recomend for a nice walk after work

Nice view. Good place to bring kids. A historical building. Unfortunately you can not go inside.

Nice place to visit, there are beautiful sea view and coffee shops and a lot of people enjoying fishing there.
