Lichthaus Kino im Straßenbahndepot

This is one of the coolest cinemas I’ve ever been to. Love the idea of turning an old industrial building into cultural space.

a wonderful little cinema with amazing sound and cosy seats. it's the mix between watching movies in cinemas and sitting in your living room.

It's a funky arty movie theater in Weimar decorated with movie posters and sofas and soft chairs to sit on. Lights highlighted the partially exposed
excavated brick walls. There seemed to be three separate screens. Even had a piano player at the start. You can pick up drinks and snacks there before the show. We saw an award winning Fellini movie with English subtitles.

Unique location with a world class program. Lichthaus, I love your perfect imperfection!!! If you are in Weimar, take one of the sofas, a drink and have a great time.

Great variety of movies, not only usual movies

Welp I was there with a group of friends but the movie we watched was the worst one I've ever seen! That's the best thing about it. It's so bad that it's real funny to watch

Super ....

Ja, es ist kein super modernes Kino, aber es ist ehrlich gut. Es verkauft auch anständige Genussmittel und nicht nur Müll. Die Preise sind so, dass man nichts selber mitbringen muss und sollte. Denn zu diesen Preisen kann sich noch ein jeder Kino leisten und muss nicht irgendwie was mitnehmen. Woanders bekomme ich dafür grade mal den Eintritt, wo ich hier einen kompletten Kino besuch bekomme inkl. netter toller Bedienung. Alles ist gut eingestellt, es ist nicht zu laut und ich muss nicht 20 Minuten einen unscharfen Film gucken. Die vermeintlich professionelle Konkurrenz ist zum Abgewöhnen. Deswegen geht hier hin und genießt eure Filme hier.

Kino mit einzigartigem Charme. Kein Popcorn, aber dafür andere Snacks und sogar Soli cola. Leider muss man sich im Winter zeitweise mit knisternder Heizung arrangieren. Die Atmosphäre war aber so besonders, dass wir wiederkommen würden.

...einfach cool dieses umgebaute, ehemalige Strassenbahndepot. Zwischenzeitlich wurden die Sitzmöbel erneuert. Und vor allem werden jede Menge tolle Filme gezeigt. Wesentlich besser als im Cinestar...so unsere Meinung.
