Wonderful traditional food & super friendly/casual atmospheric beer garden in a former hunting lodge… well-spaced outdoor picnic tables some within area with canvas roof… As well as many picnic tables for several hundred people outside … plus indoor seating

Typical well run, beloved-by-locals beer garden

In fact, it feels like a regional park with so many trees and picnic tables well spaced out… warning = the German obsession for smoking before, during and after a meal is an issue with us Californians … the fact that it’s outdoors under a bunch of large trees, as well as with considerable light breeze capability, and well-spaced tables means you don’t have to deal with your neighbors’ vapung or smoking habit/addiction …

What also makes this a wonderful, friendly atmosphere is the fact that it is so family-friendly as are all beer gardens that we ever have experienced in Germany… Kids of all ages mixed up with each other, with their friends and with their families (and occasionally their grandparents and even aunts/uncles… it seems like the majority of people are small groups of several couples with odd singles mixed with them

Schweine Hacksen perfectly grilled with the right amount of skin to crack.

Spargel (white asparagus) was delicately steamed perfectly, Services very friendly standard price… The sauce was very fresh to my wife totally enjoyed it along with the chicken noodle dumplings … note that this delicacies that *all* Germans go crazy for is usually only available during his growing season of May

The ham that was the side dish (beilage) of the spargel course was delicious

Parking is usually a challenge here, but if you persist, you might find a spot on the street around this huge restaurant

First proper sit down we had during the euro's on our Köln stage of the trip. Very nice staff and exceptionally good production of beer.

We got stranded in Munich but luckily found this place near our hotel. It has great old timey feel to it and the food was fantastic. The spaghetti was better than most Italian places that we've been to including Italy. My steak was very tender and cooked well. The roasted potatoes were very good as well

This was my first meal since I visited Munich,Germany(also first time to visit).

This beer garden could contain more than 1000 people to drink and eat the same time,because there is huge garden.
The beer is tasty,the food is delicious ，the atmosphere is harmony,we ate there 2 times,after first time trying of food,we also invited our friends as well,our friends are satisfied as well.

Besides,the prices are reasonable!You are worthing to have a try there!

We tried to stop by at night, but the kitchen was closed. So we tried again during the day.
No regrets. The place is full of charm and old-fashioned beer hall vibes.

Not a place to get vegetarian options, but we enjoyed our beer and food. Used Google lens to translate the menu.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We would go back.

The food was great and the beer was excellent. The staff was warm and friendly and felt like I was having lunch in a park. My wife's salad was also very delicious.

What a lovely oasis in Munich when most things are closed on Sundays!! Great food, great service, great ambiance and top it off, a 17 piece big band! Glad we stumbled across this place “on a Sunday!!”

A lovely Bier garden beside the Hirschgarten in Munich. Great and friendly staff, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere inside and outside. Well worth a visit.

A good classical self-service beer garden. Lots of tables make social distancing possible. Beer is just the best, quick service and good atmosphere finish this nice picture.
Cards are not accepted outside, but there is a solution in the restaurant.

Great place to go when visiting Munich! Food and drink was great, but we obviously didn't shoot 🤣

Here is a place for all Bavarian culinaric and leisure activities! You can have events or great food in the big hall with its bavarian restaurant. Or you stay outside with the huge park s great beergarden or children’s playground. Today I saw they have leaning chairs, under the huge pine trees. Be aware: shooting noise comes from the traditional Bavarian shooters that train inside the hall!

the knuckle and strudel with vanilla sauce were absolutely delicious. special crackle trick on the knuckle was a very pleasant surprise!
service was so fast, that it felt like it was unreal.

Great beergarden, best beer in Munich (Augustiner) from wooden kegs only. One liter for € 8, which is reasonable. Professional personnel, loads of shade and a nice playground for the kids. Can't ask for more, easy 5/5. 🍺
