Interesting wooden tower and a park, on the edge of the city and the forest. Great views, and a lot of things fir the children. Also there is a cafè for the parents, with drinks and some food. There are also toilettes present. Close by is a parking lot for around 50 cars. All in all, great for an afternoon visit.

Excellent wooden watch tower. Wonderful views of the city. There are seats on most levels for those who need a break! A very pleasant playground is surrounding the tower. There was a cafe there too.

Used to be an amazing place to relax, unfortunately burned down. There’s a park with children’s playground attached to the park. A cosy restaurant that’s served food and drinks. It could get quite noisy with all the airplanes passing just above your head on their way to the airports as they fly quite low already there.

We rented a Tandem bike and had a nice afternoon in the surrounding forest. The area lends itself very well for an enjoyable ride.

The service at the bike rental was very friendly and the prices are cheap as well.

Arriving here Sunday expecting it to be closed as just about everything else is here in Germany, I was pleasantly relieved to find Herr Horst's Bike Rental open. I needed a bike for two weeks which could have been pricey but Andreas gave me a very reasonable price on a bike and threw in a huge bike lock for free (most places charge for the lock). He then serviced the bike again and made sure it fit me right. He took time to speak with me (in English) and make sure all my concerns were addressed. I thought he was a really great guy; friendly and good at making conversation. He possessed no pretension but just provided good service. I noticed others came to him for small repairs on their bikes and he often repaired them at no charge. He explains the problem and provides advice on the best solution. His shop is perfectly located near the GoetheTurm and the cafe where one can purchase a Radler after a long ride. I will definitely be going back to rent a bike in the future.

You can climb the stairs in the tower from April to October. Up there, there is a beautiful view of Frankfurt. Downstairs there is a big playground for Kids and also a restaurant.

It's free, great exercise walking up all those stairs and a fantastic view. Also a nice location for kids as there is a lovely play park there.

Open again since 11. April 2014 after renovation. It's free, you'll have a beautiful view of the Frankfurt skyline and the nature around the city.

To get here, just take bus no. 48 from Lokalbahnhof/Heddrichstraße in Sachsenhausen. (You can get to Lokalbahnhof from the Main Station or Hauptwache with the S6)

It's a construction from wood, initially, with few fortifications, which gives you a nice point of view of the city of Frankfurt am Main!

Great attraction, now even with a new, exciting, feature: it’s invisible. Good luck!

Insider tip: Avoid the main tower, go to the goethe turm for a great view and it costs nothing

Sadly the tower does not exist anymore, October 12th, the tower was burnt down and the firefighters could not save it.
