Camping & Camperpark du Moulin Vianden

This is a hidden gem. Pick a pitch, set up your tent, pay the fee at the payment machine, enjoy your stay. In the morning personnel of the tourist office comes and checks the place, answers questions and that’s it. There is no reception, there is no restaurant, there is no staff. But… the pitches are large, grassy, beautiful, next to the river, and flat. Rules are simple and respected by all. The sanitary facilities are spic and span, and kept that way by the self regulatory guests during the day. Used as a camping rather than a camper site, it should stay a hidden gem, it was one of the best!

The reception was closed up for good. All the information was put out there. Everything self-service and it worked great. Pick a spot, pay at the parking machine. Untill the next day when a guy came to install an access code to the female bathroom.

I stayed here two nights mid June; beautiful camp site directly next to the river, with modern and clean toilets/showers. It seems that the reception is nowadays always closed, and you can only check in at a terminal near the entrance, but that is a fairly simple process. Somewhat unexpectedly (coming from camp sites in the Netherlands and Germany), the site was almost empty, with perhaps 20% of the camping spots occupied! There are not a lot of stores nearby, but the gas station next to the camping sells bread, croissants, drinks, etc., and some basic groceries, which saved me these two days on my bikepacking trip :-). Like others, I would definitely recommend this place!

Late May, we arrived and the site was maybe 1/3rd full or less. 15€ paid at a machine, included access to electricity. Clean and good toilet/shower block but no other facilities. Nice spot by the river. Why can’t all sites be like this?! Definitely recommend

We found the camping via internet and luckily found out it had opened since one week! We arrive late in the night and because it was not very busy we could pick any spot we liked for our two tents. The camp site is very well maintained with large spots on well-leveled grass. We had 2 spots at the waterside and it was very idyllic! There are enough trees to have plenty of shades but also spots in the sun! Sanitary is clean and the shower is warm. Owners of the camping are very nice and happy to give tips about the neighbourhood. Vianden is a beautiful small town, definitely worth a visit :-)

The photo included is from 1,5 meters away from my tent, very serene and calm campsite. Has a kids playground, table tennis, small on site bar with some drinks and snacks at fair prices. Toilet buildings/showers are clean as to be expected. Very friendly and helpful staff. Note worthy: breadroll service(order before 16:00 prev. Day) except monday and tuesday(bakery closed) and a gas sation with a nice selection of food/drink and other supplies. I came with a small tent, which have a seperate section on the campsite with shadow throughout the day. Would recommend!

This was a great HQ for the epic tours on our racing bikes through the beautiful hills of Luxembourg. The roads all look like they were constructed yesterday, the little traffic kept its distance and there are steep climbs as well as easy scenic routes nearby. Well recommended.

The camping was well maintained (looks new), clean and the owners are enthusiastic and very friendly.

Walk via river into town

The best camping paradise in the region, by the river, with many amenities, playground, lots of restaurants left and right, many clean bathrooms and showers. But the best is the view.

Great camping with very friendly host. Opened again for public a week ago, and we were able to get a camp spot without reservation. Very clean and up to date sanitaire.

Very nice site. We got it recommended by some friends. Clean and all brand new facilities. Very nice, friendly and smiling hosts. We did not reserve but got at nice spot next to the river, really nice.

Great staff on site, great location, easy flat walk to the town. Stay here again certainly.

Sehr schöner Platz direkt an der Our. Schöne, große Stellplätze - man kann frei wählen ob man in der Sonne oder im Schatten stehen möchte. Bezahlung am Automaten vergleichbar mit Parkscheinautomaten. Sanitär vorbildlich und stets sauber. Der Fluss bietet jederzeit etwas abkühlung. Einkaufsmöglichkeit in der nahen Tankstelle, bis zum nächsten Supermarkt ist es allerdings recht weit - also am besten mit Vorräten anreisen.

Super fijne camperplaats. Voor 1 overnachting inclusief stroom, aan de automaat voor 17 euro een kaartje gehaald. Uiteindelijk zijn we 4 nachten gebleven. Locatie is erg rustig. Langs een waterstroom. Sanitair is goed in orde en schoon. Fijne gratis douches. Gebouw is verwarmd. Schoonmaaksters super vriendelijk. Wij hadden in september genoeg keuze voor een leuke plek, maar het was er zeker niet te rustig. Op loopafstand zijn 2 tankstations waar een supermarkt met verse bakkersprodukten te krijgen zijn. Schitterende omgeving om te wandelen en fietsen. Wij hebben oa een route gefietst langs het water. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug.

Sanitair en camping worden netjes schoongehouden! Camping ligt op loopafstand van Vianden en in de directe omgeving mooie wandelroutes. Camping ligt langs riviertje, wat ideaal is zodat de hond even kan afkoelen. Camping is prima geschikt om hond mee naartoe te nemen. Bij het tankstation Aral, zo'n 200 meter van de camping, is 's ochtends lekker vers brood en andere benodigdheden te halen. Wij komen hier zeker terug!
